“Treasure Ireland!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2009

We certainly found a treasure when we found Quay House a few years ago. We were looking for somewhere to stay overnight on our way to and from the Rosslare ferry and found Quay House on the Irish Hotels website. It is roughly 20 minutes drive from the ferryport and Pat or his father in law, Michael, will make sure that you get a good hearty breakfast before the early morning ferry. Kilmore Quay is a quaint and friendly place and you can get a great, good value meal and plenty of "craic" down the road at Keogh's pub - the fish goujons are delicious! Quay House is a family run establishment and nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are spacious and clean and the beds comfortable. If you have a few days to spare to explore the area there are some lovely beaches and places to go - Our Lady's Island, Hook Lighthouse, Johnstown Castle but our favourite was the Kennedy Memorial Arboretum where it was not only beautiful but peaceful.
The family who run this guesthouse are friendly and helpful and now feel more like personal friends. Last year when our car broke down whilst on holiday, they went out of their way to help us which a meant a lot. We would certainly recommend Quay House and look forward to our next visit - hopefully in October. Many thanks to Pat and Michael.

Stayed in this B & B last year for 1 night. Lovely large room with great ocean view, walking distance to fantastic pub and marina, right in the village. Super clean and very friendly host. Would stay again without hesitation.

This is a perfect B&B in a really neat little town. The place was super clean, neatly decorated and well run. I will definately go back to this B&B if I ever find myself in this small corner of Ireland.
