“EXCELLENT - TOP CHOICE TO STAY IN WAUSAU AREA”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2013

This hotel is worth every penny. The rooms and common areas are very clean and every one is extremely professional. I've stayed there twice now and have been very happy. The morning coffee and free breakfast also rocks.

Room Tip: I specifically asked for a room facing east (hotel parking lot). I had been told that if you get a...

We were part of a wedding party that stayed here, and we were intrigued by the 24 hour pool availability. However, that's a lie. The pool was not available 24 hours any of the days that they claimed they were. We were kicked out of the pool at 10 because they said that the chemicals needed to be adjusted, understandable. The next night we tried to get into the pool (that was 24 hours) and they told us that the group from the night before ripped up towels and put dye in the pool. We were the last ones in the pool the night before and that was not the case. The staff is rude and hostile. They weren't willing to help or do anything about the inconveniences that we had. You could go to a fantastic hotel for the same price, it's not worth your time or trouble.

Stayed here as part of a bicycle tour. Rooms were clean as were bathrooms. Beds comfortable. Checked for bedbugs and found NONE. Nice indoor pool and spa. Free breakfast buffet was pretty sparse. Would stay here again. Good value.

We had a wonderful experience at the Weston Inn. It was quiet and relaxing. The staff was friendly and helpful. The 24 h pool was a very nice surprise. Over all a great experience and we cant wait to go back.

Room Tip: We had two conjoining rooms, me and my husband had a king bed while the children received two queens...

We stayed at the Weston Inn and truly had a great time there during the bowling tournament.

Our room was near the lobby and the pool area which my kids enjoyed, and they kept the pool open all night, it was great to just relax and go in the hot tub anytime we wanted to.

The employees were very polite and helpful, they helped us find great restaurants in the area , they let us check out at 1 instead of 11 and even provided us with childrens swimming diapers for my little one which i thought was just marvelous.

We really had a great time and i see us coming back for more enjoyment very soon :)

We were there with a group for a bowling tournament at the lanes next door. It was overpriced for the rooms - there are many other hotels in Wausau much nicer at better prices - it was not worth the convenience of being next to the bowling center. Many people booked there rooms in blocks together - when they checked in they found they were on different floors - the front desk charged them to move their room. We were told when we checked in "there will be NO moving". The continental breakfast was a joke, only 1 ice machine in the entire building, soda machines not working, toilet broken in our room, heat sounded like a jet engine when it started.

The person at the front desk was incredibly hostile and “couldn’t be bothered” with problems. Now I admit they were understaffed some of the employees had been on over 24 hours but that is not a reason for the rudeness.

On Sunday many bowlers were bowling early so they checked out and left on our hallway at least ½ the rooms were vacant and standing open. We were told that some called in and they there were only two maids and they were not even going to get to the third floor until Monday. A few of us didn’t bowl until 1pm and didn’t have to be at the center until noon. We asked for late checkout – we were told no because that is their rule. I have never heard of a hotel not offering that service when there was not wait for a maid to get to all of the room to clean before noon. Three people in our group went to breakfast and asked if coming back after 11 would be a problem – they were told it was ok. At 11 am everyone’s room keys were turned off and if you were not in your room you could not get back in – fortunately a maid let me back into my room.

At the end of the day two of the maids tried to convince us that it is not usually like that and apologized. Those two maids should get a raise – they were the only bright spot in that hotel.

The person at the front desk was incredabley

I stayed at Weston Inn with my soccer team. We had a soccer tournament in the area and this was the most reasonable place price wise. Everyone was very friendly towards us and took the time to help us with our needs. The kids really liked the pool and game area.
Rooms were very clean overall the hotel is very clean and welcoming. If you want a hotel where you can spend couple nights and not go broke this is the place for you. We will definitely come back.
