My boyfriend and I went and stayed at Hotel Jandia Princess at the end of June. Before we went we were worried that it was going to be full of German People and there would be nothing to do! But it was far from that!
Our room was on the ground floor right at the front of the hotel, meaning we couldn't see the sea and our balcony just backed onto a path, however, this didnt matter to us greatly as we didn't spend alot of time in our room. The room was so clean, the cleaners thoroughly cleaned the rooms everyday, the beds are comfy, the air conditioning is quiet and the bathrooms are tidy and quite big. I have no complaints about our room whatsoever.
The whole hotel was tidy, the staff were so friendly, always saying hello to you, every member of staff spoke enough english and everyone was so helpful.
The All inclusive was amazing, the food, ok not so perfect but there was enough choice and it didn't make you feel ill like some hotels! The range of drinks was really good, ranging from beer and wine to cocktails and spirits. The food hall was even decorated well, the chefs carved watermelons every day into flowers for decoration!

The beach was lovely, it was annoying having to walk down loads of stairs but once you're down there it is so worth it. One of the days we walked up the beach, towards the North of the island, and the beautiful white sands only got better and better!

The pools were clean and tidy. The water felt a little cold but I assume that was just because it was 45 degress in the shade out of water! The swim-up pool bar was awesome in the winter pool, which wasn't used as a winter pool on our stay as they had removed the glass, but this didn't matter.

It wasn't as German-orientated as we first thought, in fact the majority of people there were English. The evening entertainment wasn't excellent but it was definatlety something worth watching if you were staying in the hotel for the evening and having a few cocktails.

The hotel is situated about ten minutes drive from Jandia, and about twenty minutes from Morro Jable. there is a bus stop right outside of the hotel, and buses run every half hour to and from the towns for only 1 euro each trip. The town is nice, lots of tourist shops and not much night life but that didn't matter as we were mainly going for a nice relaxing holiday which is definatley what we got!

The holiday rep (thomson/first choice) Sadie, was amazing. She always had so much information to tell us and could answer any question we had. My boyfriend and I wanted to go Jet Skiin, and sure enough Sadie arranged this for us! We went jet skiing in morro jable, and oh my it was SO much fun! If you are looking for some action, I would definatley reccommend the jet skiing! She also arranged for us to go to Oasis Park- the islands zoo. This was wicked too, as you can go on a camel ride up the mountain and view all the beaches. Sadie was a great help to our holiday.

All in All this holiday was definatly good value for money, and I'm glad we went at this time of year as it wasn't busy yet it was still sweltering hot. I would definatly like to visit this hotel again.

Well after reading the recent reviews of the hotel, this is going to sound a bit picky. we arrived quite late at night after 10.pm and first impressions were quite good. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. After we checked in they gave us a map of how to find our room and suggested that we leave our luggage and go and have something to eat as the restaurant had been left open for cold buffet. The choice was very limited, but it was late and more than we expected. After having eaten we then collected our luggage and attempted to find our room. The grounds are very large with winding paths and dimley lit but at that time of night you just want to get to your room unpack and sleep. After trailing aimlesley around we found our room in block 7 on the third floor with no lift and then having to carry two heavy suitcases up to the third floor. When opening the door we found the room to be pleasant and roomy so we were pleased. The following morning I opened the doors to the view which was great, lovely blue sea and sunny skies. Breakfast was probably the best for choice as other previous reviews had stated. The other meals were ok nothing out of the ordinary and a reasonable choice. The staff in the bars and restaurant are very efficient but are extremely unfriendly and walk around miserable with long faces, with the exception of about 4 members of staff who were pleasant. The air conditioning in the rooms and public areas was really poor and in temps of 42 degrees it is not pleasant sitting eating with sweat running down your face. It wasn't very good in the rooms either as at night it was unbearable. We did complain to the rep and she agreed that it was poor and would speak to reception as she also found it too hot in her room which was on site. The other problem we encountered was a succession of cockroaches in our room, which was terrible and unfortunately we were unable to sleep for 11 nights for fear of them crawling on you. We again complained to reception who left us a can of spray for the room which we used every evening and then this kept them away. At night when returning to our room you could see them running around the paths, this is something that I have never ever seen in this type of hotel before and makes you think that they do not spray the area to keep them away. we have holidayed in India and Sri Lanka and never experienced anything like this before. The hotel also has a policy as too not reserve sunbeds until after 8.30am, otherwise towels will be removed. This is a joke, as all the sunbeds were gone by 7.30am and there is not alot of shade for people who do not want to sit in the sun all day. They do supply pool towels at a cost of 15 euros deposit and then if you want to change them they charge 1.50 euros for laundering. There is a safe in the room, but again you have to pay for this. No bottles of water are left you have to purchase these from the hotel mini market at 1 euro per bottle. We visited the Oasis animal park which was good and we went on the free bus and paid once there. We bought the tickets from the rep at 17 euros each which worked out better value. Although we enjoyed the rest I don't think that we would visit the hotel again.

We,being a couple in our early forties, just got back from a 2wk hol to the jandia princess.Upon arrival we walked into a huge and pleasing reception area and were greeted by the friendly reception staff and allocated our room and all inc wristband. We got to our room and were more than pleased.Large bathroom with bath and shower, huge mirrors and hairdryer too!Main living area was also good with tv and phone and was cleaned every day.The food in the main restauraunt was fabulous with choices galore form cold meats, salads, rices to steaks, lamb and pork dishes, fish dishes, you name it,it had it,wine and beer and pop on tap as often as you like.Excellent!!!The pool area was also very good with numerous ones to choose from, however,it got very busy during our second week which is fine if you dont mind two inches between your sunbeds. The grounds and gardens were also beautiful and well maintained.Next up is the bars which were great but all local produce and very few cocktails on offer. The pool area does overlook a great beach which is only a short walk down about thirty steps but can get very windy. The only downside to our holiday was at nightime when there is very little to do except drink at one of the bars, the hotel entertainment was geared 90% towards the germans and it wasnt really up to much anyway,so when youve spent 2 wks looking at the same faces every night it becomes a little tedious unless you get a bus into Jandia itself which is 10 mins away.We did actually hire a car for three days which cost bout 90euros and toured the island which we also enjoyed. All in all, excellent hotel and food but not enough to do after sundown for us.PS,gents need trousers for evening meal which wasnt stated online at thomsons or portland.

We understand that there is some specualtion over the credibility of these reviews. I myself was warned of fake reviews from holiday companies on sites like this, however i wish to assure the reader that this a genuine review which we are only doing after being so impressed with out all inclusive holiday.

I travelled to the Jandia Princess in Fuerteventura with my girlfriend looking for a week of nothing really, just wanted a relaxing get-away.

Our room was better than we expected in every way, it was perfectly clean, we had a nice view of the sea, and were not on the ground floor. Some rooms do not have a view of the sea, the bottom floor rooms especially face the walkways around the hotel grounds, and the rooms at the back of the area are near the road and bus stop. We were initially scared of being put into a room by the road but it is pretty dead, only the buses really use it. Also, the rooms on the gound floor may face the paths and grounds, but these are never noisy and again are maintained very well. Nevertheless those wishing for a view...it may be a gamble.

The hotel staff were very friendly and spoke enough english, more importantly they were all very efficient, from the cleaners to the bar staff, the hotel in general seemed to run on a very tight shift, which we noticed immediately.

The pool area was again very clean, there are 2 main ones seperated by bridges, which are quite big. Next to here is a kids pool. Down one level is a pool which as some of the pictures may show, should have a green house style roof over it, this was not here on our trip, but of course was not needed given the heat! This pool also has a bar and stalls in the pool which was cool. Down another level is the gym and relaxation area where there is a smaller quiet pool, and separated by a garden style fence is the nudist pool (we think!). The gym is very clean and although empty most of the time, was perfectly usable and actually quite new. We didn't use the relaxation facilities but it appeared there are massages and other treatments available (and a sauna for some reason).

We think everybody was all inclusive like we were...The food, given that it is a buffet, impressed us greatly. Breakfast was by far the best meal of the day, cereals, fruit, fresh omelettes, fried eggs cooked infront of you, scrambled egg, the usual fry-up things, as well as lots of cheeses and hams. Also, there was a nice selection of fresh bread, and croissants etc. Lunch and dinner were quite similar with a fair selection of salads, pasta dishes, and hot food. Dinner was sometimes overcomplicated in terms of the meat available, that is, we thought given they were catering for hundreds of people, offering swordfish and rabbit for example, were never going to be particularly nice. A big lasagne would have gone down well is basically what i'm saying.

An added bonus we were not expecting was the range of drinks available on the all inclusive. We thought it would just be local beer and wine, and indeed at meal times it was this (as well as soft drinks and juice). However from about mid-day onwards you can get a large range of spirits and liquers, as well as some cocktails!

Thanks

We stayed at this hotel for 11 nights in june,we really looked forward to the holiday for a year because we booked early. We arrived at 9.30pm and was told there was a buffet on when we got to the dining hall the drinks machine was switched off there was no water availiable for us and the buffet was cold, slimy pasta my children were really upset,in the morning we ventured for breakfast oh my god ignorant staff who only catered for the German guests staying there, meals were ok if you like the same thing day in day out.The snack bar also does breakfast and snacks good if you like to share with loads of flies and small birds all over you.The only good thing about our holiday was the beach apart from the hoards of nudists there,i would only stay at this hotel if you got a late cheap deal we paid £2,900 pathetic.the quality of the rooms and service is 5/10 and the first choice rep on site is arrogant and unhelpful. If you have children they will be bored to tears a game of pool is 2 euros, internet is 1 euro for 10 mins most parents were spending a fortune on keeping their children occupied. There is a few pools but they are not clean and they are freezing cold my daughter and my partner have come home with ear infections however last year we stayed at the Bahia Principe in costa adeje miles better than the jandia princess by far, never again!
