“Nice flat walk and some great views”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2013

Walked from Faery Glen, to Rosemarkie Beach to Chanonry Point and finally to Fortrose. Accessible by bus from Inverness. A relatively easy and flat walk with some nice views both north and south, and across to Fort George. Was not lucky enough to see any dolphins, but supposed to be one of the best spots to do so from land in Scotland.

At Chanonry point there are a bunch of picnic tables to rest or enjoy your lunch/snack. I began to snack but a gull seemed very used to stealing food or being fed and was getting very very close to me, so I decided to pack up and leave because it was not worth my fingers.

Did the whole thing in about an hour. After hiking up and back Fairy glen, which took me about 45 minutes. Path goes along the golf course, so you have to be a bit careful of golf balls coming your way. I had only one "fore" yelled my way and even then the ball was not close, so it seems the regular golfers are quite conservative and used to people walking along those paths.

If you are not up for the walk there is a car park at the end of the point that puts you within a couple of hundred yards of the point.

“Dolphin Paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

We visited over three evenings to see the famous dolphins. On the Saturday we got some brilliant photos of them jumping clear out of the water. Sunday and Monday shows were poor as was the extremely windy weather. We will return at a later date to watch these fascinating creatures.

This is a majestic trip to and considered the best place on earth to see dolphins from land. Very special.

Beautiful location. We took a boat trip to see dolphins and seals. There were a superb selection of birds to spot too.

“Wonderful”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2013

Amazing vantage point to watch the Moray Firth dolphins. There are good communications between there and the WDT at North Kessock so you get an idea if and when they will appear.
There are a couple of issues
1. Could people learn to part in a considering manner. There is not much room and people are selfish
2. When the dolphins appear dont all run to the tip of the shore. If everyone stood back them we would all get a chance to see these wonderful creatures instead of everyone clambering on top of each other!!
