Walked from Faery Glen, to Rosemarkie Beach to Chanonry Point and finally to Fortrose. Accessible by bus from Inverness. A relatively easy and flat walk with some nice views both north and south, and across to Fort George. Was not lucky enough to see any dolphins, but supposed to be one of the best spots to do so from land in Scotland.
At Chanonry point there are a bunch of picnic tables to rest or enjoy your lunch/snack. I began to snack but a gull seemed very used to stealing food or being fed and was getting very very close to me, so I decided to pack up and leave because it was not worth my fingers.
Did the whole thing in about an hour. After hiking up and back Fairy glen, which took me about 45 minutes. Path goes along the golf course, so you have to be a bit careful of golf balls coming your way. I had only one "fore" yelled my way and even then the ball was not close, so it seems the regular golfers are quite conservative and used to people walking along those paths.
If you are not up for the walk there is a car park at the end of the point that puts you within a couple of hundred yards of the point.
