“Lovely stay, Lovely people.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2012

Absolutely loved our stay here. We were treated wonderfully and made to feel like family. Julie made a wonderful host and made sure we had the best places to walk. Couldn't recommend it enough. Unfortunately can only give Lellux 5* so must come out again so I can give more reviews.

Room Tip: Azure window offers the best view.

We stayed a week in this beautifully restored farmhouse in the centre of the lovely village of Qala in Gozo. Julie, our hostess, was incredibly warm, friendly and welcoming - nothing was too much trouble for her. In fact she made us feel like one of the family and seemed genuinely sad when we left, as indeed were we. We had a beautiful room at the top of the house with its own balcony looking out over the pretty garden and pool area. Everything we could want was provided. Julie was also a mine of information about where to go, what to do etc. Although we hired a car for a few days there was plenty to do in the local area - lots of wonderful restaurants in the village and some stunning walks. Oh, and I mustn't forget to mention Julie's wonderful breakfasts! From the moment Julie picked us up in her car from the ferry to the moment she delivered us back to the airport we had a wonderful relaxing and enjoyable time. Thank you Julie for everything. We will most certainly return.

Room Tip: The room at the top is lovely and secluded but you do need to be mobile to climb the wooden spiral s...

Great ambiance and a home from home. Julie goes out of her way to allow you to unwind, will definitely be back for more. Rooms and whole place very tastefully decorated and despite been in a central location it is cool and calm inside. A good base for which to explore both Gozo and Malta.

I am so glad we found this lovely home. Julie was a perfect host . Every aspect of her home is absolutely stunning, from the perfect location on Gozo, to her incredible great breakfast. The house is impeccably clean, right down to the amount of thought she puts into enhancing her guests' experience. The bedrooms were very spacious, light, comfy and delightful. The swimming pool is beautifully maintained, unfortunatly the weather was to cold... So we've enjoyed the whirlpool. We felt very comfortable there like home. Malta is close with the ferry, max 30 min, took us 1,5 hour to go to Valetta for a day trip. The pictures really do the place justice and we found it to be the perfect place to relax in and explore Gozo. Thanks to the warmth and kindness of Julie. We highly recommend staying here! and after staying at lellux boutique, you’ll wonder why you would ever stay anywhere else!

As B&B owners of an award winning bed and breakfast in the Isle of Man we know what good customer service and attention to detail is all about. It’s always difficult for us to find somewhere that meets our expectations. But thankfully we did. Our weeks stay in Feb 2012 with Julie at Lellux was really enjoyable and I don’t think we could have picked any of the other B&B’s and got such good service, comfortable beds (always important), excellent breakfast and a very friendly, helpful owner.

Julie was a great help with booking the travel arrangements to get us from Malta airport. Clear instructions about getting to the ferry port and how to get on the ferry, about not paying on the ferry over but pay on the way back. Then when we arrived at Gozo Julie was waiting with a big warm friendly smile.

On the way back to the B&B/Guesthouse, she took time out to point places to eat, walks etc. She then showed us the beautiful Qala square, pointing out the various shops, lovely restaurants and best of all Zeppi’s bar!!

Our bags were taken upstairs to our room, by Tom & Elliott, Julie’s sons, both of whom were extremely polite and helpful.

The room was huge!!! We have a lovely comfy kingsize bed, with extra blankets if we wanted, plus and electric blanket just in case it got chilly. Lots of coat hangers and good draw space. There was also a welcome fruit bowl and a bottle of wine. We had phoned ahead and asked for sandwiches and a bottle or Rose which Julie had also placed in the room. The bathroom was spacious, with plenty of hot water and decent towels.

After a restful night’s sleep we headed downstairs to the breakfast room, to a excellent selection of fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereal, ham, cheeses beautiful breads all made in the village. Tea or coffee. There was also cooked eggs or bacon if we wanted.

We didn’t use the stunning pool, wrong time of year, but we took full advantage of the hot tub.
The house had other added touches of wifi, signal, which was best at the top of the stairs, the walls of the house are so thick that the signal wasn’t great in the room. There was a small fridge in the hall way that had a nice stock of cold drinks. Tea & Coffee in the room.

There is a exccellent bus service around the island with the bus stop just outside the door. There are various tickets, either a 2 hour ticket, all day or seven days. Seven day ticket is great value. We enjoyed the great coastal walks around Qala and you might be lucky enough to walk Fenn, Julie's friendly dog, she's lovely and shows you the way round! We're missing her and Scoop already

After visiting the whole island we definitely picked the right village to stay in. You won’t go wrong staying in Qala, everything was just perfect, just ensure you stay at Lellux!

Thank you Julie for a relaxing break and for being a perfect host. We’ll definitely be back!!

Room Tip: All the rooms are lovely and spacious.
