“Fantastic place to stay! Great location too!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2013

We just spent 3 nights at the Dolphin Bay Suites and absolutely loved it there. Paul the owner was very friendly and helpful in suggesting where to have a good meal. He made sure we knew he was only a call away if we needed anything. The apartments were spotlessly clean and were well equipped with anything we needed including plenty of coffee , tea , dish soap etc. Even milk in the fridge. We stayed in #8 and had an excellent view from our balcony of the bay. The apartment was bigger than I expected so was a plus On entering the apartment was so warm and cosy. I felt so comfortable there. The location is really good. Our flight into Inverness airport was early evening so was nice to only have about a 5 minute drive to get from the airport to the apartment. We were perfectly located for the days out we had planned to speyside, tain and The Isle of Sky . The small town of Ardersier where Dolphin Bay Suites are located is very quaint and quiet. There is a small shop where we were able to buy everything we needed for our stay, breakfast food , snacks , drinks etc. Also the food at the Gun Lodge Hotel ( which Paul suggested to us) was very good. We ate there a couple of nights. Last but not least the walk down the beach in front of the apartments is beautiful especially first thing in the morning before leaving for your day out. If we were going to the area again we would definantly stay here.

Room Tip: Rooms on the second or third floor have balconies and a much better view of the bay.

Second time there and we can't wait to go back there. Paul and Sally are wonderful, warm and helpful people. Flats 2 and 3 provide you with the utmost comfort and offer the best view ever. You like you're at home. Convenient location on the waterfront, 10 minutes from Inverness (a bit further for Nessie) and so close to all the towns and villages well worth a visit.
Bravo, bravo and merci from France

Room Tip: Go on the 1st or 2nd floor for a stunning view at all times.

I loved this place. We arrived after a long flight and the drive up from Glasgow to be greeted by the beautiful views across the water as the suites are direct waterfront. The apartment was quiet and welcoming and very well equipped. We used it as a base to visit Inverness, Tain, Strathpeffer, Elgin, Nairn and Glenfiddich. Fort George was 5 minutes up the road and a pleasant surprise. It was so interesting. The walks around the village are scenic and the shopping at Inverness is excellent as the apartment is well set up for self catering. The age and history of the suites is amazing and I loved sitting in the 2 feet thick window seat watching the sunset and the lights twinkling over the water. I would return without any hesitation.

We were met by Paul, the owner, who insisted on helping us carry our luggage to our apartment. Both Paul and Sally are very friendly and can't do enough for you. The apartments are wonderful, equipped with everything you need, even milk in fridge and washing powder and dishwasher tablets. The apartments are modern and very clean and comfortable. Each apartment has its own balcony which over looks the bay. We were very lucky and had brilliant weather, the sunsets were wonderful. Free parking and free wifi are included in the price and if you find there is something you are needing I am sure one phone call to Paul or Sally would solve the problem. We have only been back 4 days and have already booked to return next year, when we will remember binoculars then we will see the promised dolphins. Ardersier is a tiny village in a beautiful part of the world where you can get away from the hustle and bustle but there is still plenty to do. Just a few miles away there is Fort George, Nairn, Culloden and Inverness. I can't recommend Dolphin Bay suites enough whether travelling as a couple or with a family you will have a great holiday here.

Room Tip: A top floor apartment will ensure that you don't have noisy children's footsteps above you.

My abiding memory of the wonderful week we spent at Dolphin Bay Suites will be the evening I spent standing on the balcony of our apartment watching dolphins leap around a fishing boat as it made its way up the Moray Firth whilst yet another achingly beautiful sunset played itself out over the mudflats, the water and the hills. Utterly magical. We came to this part of the world to see dolphins, and we saw them in abundance (although to see them from the apartment we generally needed binoculars). But there was so much else to enjoy as well – a very comfortable, clean and well-appointed apartment. Friendly, helpful and welcoming owners. And the surrounding area – it may not have the drama or the spectacle of the west coast but it got under my skin and I loved it. Culloden and Cromarty both well worth visiting in particular.

Room Tip: Go or a top floor apartment - we stayed in number 9

Just ended our 5 night stay here in our 2 bedroom spacious flat, third floor- room #3. We loved the unit, location and especially the Highlands; we are very sad to be leaving. Flats are well equipped, very comfortable for families with children and the owner/managers are very friendly and helpful. I fell in love with the beautiful view from our seafront location and cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed this property and location; highly recommend it to self-catering travelers. Already thinking about next year :)

Room Tip: Room 3 is very spacious, seafront. Gorgeous views and fresh, Highland air. Keep in mind you will nee...

We stayed for a week whilst the Scottish Open was on. It was a great location, fantastic views, owners very helpful.Nice village with shop, pub, and local cheesery. Didn't see any dolphins though! All in all highly recommended.
