“Place to relax”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013

Away from the hustle and air pollution of Kathmandu, this is the place to enjoy the sunshine and relax in the resort with nice green surroundings. Most people come here to do the bungee jump, but we enjoyed 1 day relaxing and 1 day rafting. The tents are comfortable, you have to share bathroom facilities. The bus ride to get to the resort/back to Kathmandu was quite an experience, especially the ride back in the dark (crazy traffic in Nepal...).

Dear Humu,

Thank you greatly for the nice summary about resort. Absolutely, Bungy is most famous adventure. We are glad to comprehend that, you enjoyed stay and Rafting as well. Considering that we have accommodation on safari tents, bathrooms are offered on sharing basis. Exactly driving with crazy traffic is an experience nonetheless fortunately drivers are comfortable with it.

We wish to have pleasure of your company again soon.

Kind Regards,
The Last Resort Team

Great place for many different kinds of people. The most important thing is that every part of the resort seemed to be handled professionally (important when jumping into a 160 metre high gorge). I would recommend this place for adventure sports or even just a place to get away from Kathmandu.

I didn't know this resort was available to stay at until I arrived for my Bungee! If I would have loved to stay the night and return to Kathmandu the next day. I did the bungee jump and had lunch there. I really enjoyed the bar restaurant! The prices were fair and food good! Try the buff chili!
I peeked into the tents and sauna and it looked just right.
The only bad thing was a terrorist bee attack that seemed to be happening to everyone. I think it was isolated to the day I was there. The staff handled it well and got rid of most of the bees.
I'll be back!

As a group of 6 (4 young adults and 2 older adults!), we spent 3 nights at the Last Resort and would thoroughly recommend it. It was a peaceful and quiet place to stay with beautiful lush gardens and plenty of sun lounges to relax on. The tents were cosy and very comfortable, and the bathrooms immaculately clean. We all did the white water rafting and had such a fantastic time - the best we have done anywhere in the world. The bungy jump was a highlight for some of our group, while others enjoyed the guided walk through some villages. The staff were friendly and helpful and the meals delicious and plentiful. It was a wonderful end to our Nepal holiday and we thank all those who made our time there so memorable.

Let's put it simple. Great activities, great athmospere, especially great staff (my greetings to the rastaffari cameraman at the bunjee), great accommodation and very relaxing. An absolute MUST visit if you are in Nepal. A memory I will remember forever.

This was my second trip and it won't be my last. It is a 4 hour drive from Kathmandu so it is best to stay at least two nights to make the trip worthwhile. You can be as active as you like - bungy or swing 180 metres off the bridge (the swing was my pick), a choice of at least 8 styles of massage (the rejuvenation one was great), or just chill out on comfy cushions in the bar lounge. All meals are buffet style and there was plenty of it. The buff curry was particularly tasty. The tented accommodation was a surprise - very spacious, quiet, and we slept better than in our Kathmandu hotel. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. I thought it was good value.

Dear SwiftOne,

Warm greetings from The Last Resort.

Thank you for lovely review. Yes, please do not make it last. :) The bridge is 160 meters high. Yes, but the feeling of jumping is higher. :) See you soon to chill out again.

We spent one night up here while my husband did a bungy and I got an amazing massage. They offer day trips for the adrenaline junkies or if you just want to see the place but you have to stay to really appreciate how cool it is. The food is delicious, the tents are like glamping and the staff were lovely. It has such a chilled out atmosphere and the cost of the massage I got was so cheap and it was really good. Amazing place! Was sad to leave!
