Get home from work today, go to my room at the Ramada Inn in Galloway, NJ to walk my dogs...my dogs and cat are missing.
Go back to the front desk to be told that I, a hurricane victim who cannot return to my home even to assess the damage until Saturday (at the earliest), did not check out and check back in, so my animals were removed. I was told to call the police (who told me to call animal control, who are currently closed right now)
Last night, I checked in for another 3 nights. This morning, I verified I was in the same room for the next 3 nights. Tonight, I come home. No complaints that my animals were barking...only that I didn't check out and check back in. My stuff was not removed from the room. The beds were not made, and the bathroom was not cleaned. So after removing my animals, they obviously didn't act like I had checked out.
Additionally, yesterday when I asked to extend my stay, I was told that there were no open rooms. Immediately, checked Ramada.com, Hotels.com, Expedia.com and Tripadvisor.com...all showed rooms available to rent. So I rebooked. Today, when I returned to the hotel after work, the parking lot was empty. And my dogs were removed because I didn't check out and check back in, but my stuff wasn't removed.
I'm asking everyone to call Ramada and tell them you're never staying at one of their hotels again, write a letter. This is how they treat disaster victims? Then why would anyone want to be a customer of theirs?
Room Tip: This place is ridiculous!!!
