Sleazy and filthy. Sheets looked like they had never been washed and the bathroom had mold!

My buddies and I stayed in the Passport Inn for a weekend in NYC/Atl City. The only reason we chose this hotel is because on Priceline.com they accepted a bid of of $20/night. When that averages to $5/person/night...it's not so bad. I figure it's as cheap as Baltic Ave on Monopoly.

However, if one decides to stay in at $20/night hotel, certain risks are involved...such as (but not limited to): meeting shady characters, unvaccumed floor, too few towels, monochrome TV set, roaches as bedmates, and the potential to receive a communicable disease from someone with whom you have never communicated in any way.

The comforters were most likely made during the Carter administration and had probably not been washed since Clinton's. The "continental breakfast" involved 2 muffins and 3 danishes...we at them all (sorry if you stayed there when we did) and a pot of coffee that I believe was made with river water strained through old Oreos. Don't try it.

Let's be honest...the Passport Inn is a dirtbag motel that sits next to a Denny's. If you're ok slumming with your buddies then go for it, but do not take a girl there. Ever. She'll either shun you, dump you, divorce you, or take out a restraining order on you.

The Passport Inn is like a used Dodge Neon previously owned by a rental company. You know it's going to be terribly cramped and uncomfortable, you know it has a seedy past, you sure don't want to be seen in it, and any woman that sees you there will immediately know you're broke...but at the end of the day it's cheap and will do its part in getting you to the Casino.

Nothing fancy, but clean and adequate. Convenient location, can leave car and walk to casinos and boardwalk. Friendly hosts.

We have stayed here on a few different occasions. Whenever I call for a reservation the manager is nice and has been very helpful. The rooms are big and the beds comfortable. The fridge always is very cold and the TVs in some of the rooms are High Def, which is very nice. The rooms are clean, as are the sheets (which have Wildwood Linen marks on them, so I KNOW they are clean). My only complaint? You only get 2 towels. 3 or 4 would be nice as most women do want one for the hair and one for the body. When I have asked for 1 or 2 more, they have been supplied.
All in all, a great deal for the price.

For all that is good and holy – DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I slept in the room for a total of four hours and I spent most of the next day in the ER with a case of head to toe bed bugs. Six days later, I was told I also had ringworm from head to toe. I wouldn’t stay here again for a million dollars!

We stayed at this hotel because it was a holiday weekend and all others were booked. We were grossly overcharged for the room! The outside of the hotel was nice, but the office and the room was horrible.

The staff was very unfriendly and unaccommodating. When we entered the room it had a strong odor. The bathroom mirror was broken and had been held together with scotch tape. The tub had a foot long, one inch crack in it. We came to find out that is where most of the moldy/
musty stench was coming from. There was even mold on the wallpaper in the bathroom.

We killed numerous bugs. The comforter was smelly and obviously had not been cleaned in a long time. There were two of us in the room but only enough towels for one. We asked for more towels but they never arrived.

This hotel is worth about $25 a night, certainly not the price we paid. I would not recommend staying here. Better off sleeping in your car!

  • Liked — Check out!!
  • Disliked — I did not like the bugs, the stink or the cracked tub.
