“Amaxing afternoon tea!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2012

We had afternoon Tea and it was immense! There was a long list of different teas we could choose from and served in delightful china. Then....the food arrived - it brought a big smile to our faces. A cake stand full of delights! delicate sandwiches, cream scones, brownie, shortbread, meringue, the list goes on! We thoroughly enjoyed it and would certainly go again.

“Afternoon Tea”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2012

Tanya and her team really looked after us when I took the family for afternoon tea a few weeks ago. Cakes in abundance and plenty of tea and ot water provided. Lovely scones and more cream and jam that we could eat. Really well done. Good value for the £10 per person. Not sure I would pay the normal price of £20.

“Better inside than out.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2012

Very nice inside but looks a bit dowdy from the outside. We went with a 1/2 price voucher for afternoon tea for two for £19 (advertised as originally £39). I would not have been happy had we paid the full price. The service was excellent. The sandwiches were very nice but did not get a choice of fillings, the cakes were also preselected, not to my taste, meringue's and battenburg, the chef deserves a medal for slicing the Battenburg so thin!!!!! There were 4 small scones, not sure if they should have had fruit in as only one had, and that had enough for all 4, these were served with jam and cream but no butter, There was also 2 small slices of chocolate cake and a couple of small chocolate sweets.. The Victoria sandwich was burnt. The choice of speciality teas was exceptional and served as tea should be. The seating area was very comfortable. There is an area called 'fishy feet' which is visible to all when walking along the corridor, can put you off your food. Overall we enjoyed the experience but will not be repeating it.

“Afternoon Tea from Heaven!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2012

We have just had the best afternoon tea we have ever eaten - Fortnum and Mason you have much to learn!! Dainty sandwiches (but plenty of them), warm scones with jam and cream, slices of cake, shortbread, meringues, served on a beautiful three tiered stand. A wide selection of 'real' teas, to be poured into delicate china cups. Sugar lumps and individual sugar tongs. Everything was perfection. We are about to book again, but need to wait a little while because we devoured the lot and are now fit to burst.
