“Lovely”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

We enjoyed a very nice Friday evening meal for a family birthday and found a warm atmosphere and welcome. Our food was good and fresh, the staff were attentive and pleasant. We noticed a great early evening meal for 3 courses (we were unable to try it as it was within a set time) we have booked to go back to try. One suggestion would be for a selection of house wines, red, white and rose that were less expensive, £10 a bottle would be great! It would then be a great place to visit more often without paying so much for wine unless of course you are a wine buff who enjoys great wines which was what appeared to be on offer. To get people out spending money we need offers and value to lure us in to be spending our money. Overall great, beautiful decor and food service.

“Average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2013

My son took me to Tiamo for an impromptu dinner. The restaurant was warm on a chilly January evening. We arrived at around 7.10pm and had just missed the earlybird menu which looked to be better value.
I had a starter and main and both were only lukewarm when they were served. My son said his was fine so clearly my meal had been hanging around waiting for his. We both thought the food was ok. Not outstanding my any means and certainly not worth the price tag.

I doubt we would return.

We have eaten here quite a few times. Food always good in the summer the courtyard is a great place to sit and have a chilled glass of white wine. Staff very friendly.

“NOT VERY ITALIAN”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012

Having been married in Italy and experiencing food like nothing else I have ever tasted any where. Tiamo is a poor excuse for an Italian. Soggy cheese garlic bread, pizzas swimming in oil and under cooked. We were given a freeby from the chief a herby tomato soup very nice but then the same sauce was on my starter and pizza !!! Then to top it off not even a thank you or goodbye as we left. The staff need some training, the last time I was in here the young girl didn't even know how to open Champagne, we had to instruct her !! Not very attentive,or knowledgable .Can't actually believe that the chief is Italian. If he is,tonight must have been his night off, as no Italian would have said that food or service was good.
