“Fab Sunday Lunch!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2011

Visited today for Sunday lunch with the family. Waited a while to be served but food more than made up for it! Lovely selection of starters - carrot and coriander soup was definitely the favourite - homemade and piping hot! Choice of 3 meats Pork, beef or turkey ( choice of 1,2 or all 3!) Plenty of meat (beef just melted in your mouth) and great selection of veg in tureens - all piping hot. Service was great - very pleasant waitresses who couldn't have been more attentive. We all managed a dessert, just about - yum! At £11.95 for 3 courses, would definitely recommend. We will be back!!! :-)

We stayed in two rooms in the converted barn alongside the pub. The rooms were small and had no wardrobes. Both rooms were twins. They were clean and tidy. The showers were really small, one of my sons (20yr) thought he was going to get stuck and his bum hit the really hot water control unit! He was not impressed! The food in the pub was good and wholesome and the waitress was friendly and very competent for a young girl. Breakfast was served in the conservatory of the pub and as we were the only residents were served by the young chef personally. His breakfast was excellent, hot, tatsty and plenty of it. If you need a place to stay in this area this is one place worthy of a try.

what a lovely find this was, we booked a room on the off chance as were visiting friends in the area and was made to feel very welcome by Sarah and LLoyd who have recently taken over this quaint little Inn. The rooms recently renovated were very comfortable and good value for money. we decided to have our evening meal here and were so glad that we did, they have a regular menu but also two specials boards one for fish and one for meat with ample choice, they also cater for vegetarians. i chose the fish which was excellent my friend having the pork stir fry, both meals were delivered very quickly and were delicious, the staff were friendly and courteous and Sarah advised us of a very lovely wine to go with our meal.....i have to say that the sticky toffee pudding was to die for. The bar had music in that evening and we had a very enjoyable evening with locals that all made us feel very welcome. We spent a very comfortable night in our rooms and were treated to a wonderful cooked breakfast to see us on our way in the morning, i would like to thank you all for your wonderful hospitality and will definately be coming back.

I stayed in the cottage, it was spacious and cozy, we only needed one room but they let us use the whole cottage at the same charge as a double room!!! fantastic value for money, the staff were friendly and helpful,

the cottage itself was clean and warm, the kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms had all been recently refubished. If your looking for value for money and a warm welcome this is the place
