What a charming recently renovated hotel on the edge of the Lake ,magnificent views, excellent terrasse and a fun street with bands on summer evenings. The walks along the lake are great. The rooms and bathrooms are excellent.

Room Tip: Ask for a lake view room and also request a balcony in summer it is really worth it.

The views of the hotel were stunning, the facilities to hold conference there were perfect and the food and wine was amazing. The staff were really friendly too and knowledgeable of best food and wine. I fell in love!............... Tracie Ward

the hotel is situated on the first line of the lake score, directly on the wonderful promenade. on the first floor is the very good restaurant with picturesque terrace. the room is very comfortable with loccitaine bath cosmetics. the room has laminate desk what is rather important for me. helpful staff and gratis parking just the next door to the hotel, just nothing to complain!

I stayed for the first time in this hotel earlier this month. The rooms were a pleasant surprise, quite large with a really nice bathroom. The best part about the hotel, however, was the patio in front of the restaurant from which you could gaze at Lake Geneva and the mountains beyond. Fantastic place to sit outside and enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine.

Hotel Le Rivage is located a beautiful spot just by the Lake Geneva. The scenery both from the restaurant (and namely from the terrace) and lake view rooms is nearly breath-taking. The hotel was renovated some years ago and the quality of the rooms is good. Just the old building places some constraints to the rooms shape and size wise: some of the rooms are very small and may cause you claustrophobia. The other painful point is the locations close to the church: your "wake up call" is very likely to take place much earlier than desired, and the "snooze function" keeps on reminding you every 15 minutes. Breakfast at good quality & standard but without any surprises. Staff is courteous but lacks any extra effort or gestures of genuine friendliness.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms at 1. or 2. floor with lake side view.

We went to Lutry for the Wine Festival, which happens each year on the last weekend of September. We were at the centre of the party and we could enjoy all the drinking without driving. It is a nicely renewed building with small but smart bedrooms. We particularly liked the Nespresso machines in the bedrooms and corridors, the L'Occitane toiletries and the terrace bar where we met friends each evening. I I used to live in Lausanne and the number 9 bus take you there in 15 minutes.

The restaurant of the hotel is expensive, but we eat there once to enjoy the game season's treats. The starter and the main were great, but the desserts disappointed. We recommend the hotel, in front of the Geneva Lake/ Lac Léman and the boat tours available to locations in France - just opposite - and in Switzerland.

Parking is an issue as the hotel has none of its own, so a trek to the car park and back.

The rooms are on the small side, and a lack of closet space caused by the mini bar and safe taking up half the available room. Two lights in the bathroom not working as result my wife struggled applying make up. They were unable to replace the bulbs during our stay.

Reception service was friendly and efficient.
