We really splashed out for a 2 night stay at this little spa - pricey but worth it.
Because we booked a package I found I was not able to book on line and it took a few phone calls to get someone whose english was good enough for me to make the booking, but they were very helpful.
The bedroom (junior suite) was wonderful and despite being in a new hotel extension you are next to the original chateau where the spa is situated and it felt very luxurious.
The spa was a bit of a maze of different rooms / experiences so take yourself on a tour so work out what is where . . . I was a little disappinted that the indoor pool was not warmer but the outside pool was lovely. The jacuzzi tended to have "cuddly couples" so the minute you see it without embarassing couples, get in there quick; we are a couple but we don't like smouching in public!
The lunch was very expensive at 25 euros a head - but it was lovely!
If you dine in the evening - it is very posh - although the silver service head waiter did not bat an eyelid at those not really dressed for the surroundings, smart casual would be suitable but the ripped jeans and hoodies did look a little out of place; some guests really dressed the part with full evening wear/tuxedo etc...!
I had asked beforehand about the fact that I did not eat meat and my husband did not eat fish but I think it got lost in translation - there is a single set menu, and if you may need a different menu I suggest asking to talk to the head waiter or chef before you arrive (the more specific your needs they may need to order food in especially). They coped very well with our requests and adapted the menu to suit us both, again without batting an eyelid. There are many sumptuous courses and we felt the standard menu was more than adequate (although there is a 7 course menu available).
The massages were fantastic, we had a bit of confusion over when we were arriving and leaving vs when our treatments had been booked, some of them were for after we had left for the airport - if you are tight on time, make sure they know so you do not miss out on anything.
