We have just returned from Seville and spent 6 nights at this beautiful hotel. We decided to take advantage of the pool and sumptuous accomadations and drove into Seville for late afternoon sightseeing and dinners.
We shared a room with our 2 children aged 13 and 10. The room was spacious and had a magnificently painted domed ceiling ( see photo). I cannot say enough good things about the accomadations, pool and gardens.....a true oasis.
The hotel and its gardens are fit for a king but watch out for the food....you will need to be a Royal to afford it.
I cannot comment on the quality of the food since we did not eat at the hotel. The prices for food are way,way up there and we just could not bring ourselves to spend that amount of money on dining. My family and I are world travelers and have eaten in some of the finest restaurants. However, this hotel does not offer any options in food pricing. For example, breakfast is 33 Euros per person and we were told that it was "voted the best breakfast in the world by Time Magazine". This may well be so, but I was not willing to find out for myself at that price. Unfortunately there was no alternative and we walked into the town for a wonderful continental breakfast ( 16 Euros for the 4 of us!! )
A cheese sandwich on the terrace is 16 Euros and there was nothing cheaper. The cheapest salad on the terrace was 26 Euros.
This is truly a wonderful place to stay but keep in mind that meals are best eaten elsewhere if you are sensitive about the high price of meals. This place would be perfect if they served reasonably affordable food. We would return to Hacienda Benazuza.
