Visiting the area to visit the Etruscan tombs we came across this restaurant for dinner. It is so charming! It has a train theme, I think it was originally a station. Tablecloths, beautiful setting, partially open kitchen. We started with an array of appetizers, including the traditional prosciutto and mozzarella di buffalo, but also a little tart with sauteed greens and anchovy, and a delicious mousse of zucchini. One in my party had a pizza...perfectly thin crust, tasty sauce and cheese. I had a crepe stuffed with fish that was unique and tasty. It was served on a cream of fennel. The other in my party had a roasted pork, sliced served on a bed of mustard cream sauce.
We accompanied it with a bottle of wine produced locally by Casale Cento Corvi, it was a Trebbiano.
Perfect meal! the service was friendly yet professional. Totally a wonderful way to complete our day
