“Lovely views...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2013

This was recommended to us this year and we enjoyed several visits, a lovely place to watch the sun set whilst sipping a mojito, pimms, G&T, well anything really... Light bites looked good, sampled the pitta crisps and dips, all very nice, would definitely visit next year and try more of the menu!!!

“When the wavy sea came the boat appeared”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2013

Well fellow travellers, obviously the first thing that you do when you go anywhere is look at the top place, so here we are looking at Oniro - to eat, because its in the restaurant guide. Last year it was given as a recommendation but we ran out of time so this year we decided to have a go, ordinarily when we travel we have an 'occasion' place to dine and as the previous reviews have almost all mentioned the diversity of good for lunch, good for sunset, good for evening etc we popped in one afternoon. I was hooked and can see the point of just sitting there with a cold one looking at the view.

Next visit was for the sunset, framed by the shipwreck perfect, and finally again in the evening where we snacked. I wish someone had explained that the Lebanese Pittas were very similar to the nacho's (and me a so called seasoned traveller) oh, a slight niggle, the potato wedges were cold, but hey, who cares, just sitting there with a Long Island Ice Tea watching the gorgeous waiting staff flitting about effortlessly was good enough.

One final pearl of advice, ask how the ship ended up there, one version (in very endearing accent) is how one day the 'wavey sea came and the ship appeared' hmmmm (another version was a storm off Limmaol and the ship was blown there)

Oh, on the point of the place itself, it seems to be a relatedly new build - almost pre-fab, the toilets were immaculate and the kitchen area new and clean, the staff were attentive and very endearing.

I just cannot decide why it tops the restaurant bit because its not, they do specials which I haven't tried but all seemed very good - why not go there and se what I mean

“Fab Afternoon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2013

We had read about Oniros on Trip Advisor so we decided to give it a try all the men in the group had gone to golf so the ladies descended on Oniros, what a great afternoon we had, the cocktails are to die for and I have been all over the world, I had the Special which was smoked salmon marinated in dill and other herbs on a bed of potato salad perfect for a hot day with a mojito to die for, would definitely recommend you go even just once for the experience, we spent the whole afternoon there, great view, really pleasant staff, ignore other reviews its not expensive I would rather pay the one euro extra and get a cocktail with fresh fruit in than an umbrella any day.

“Definitely a hidden gem !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

We visited Oniro after consulting trip advisor. We were not disappointed! Located opposite the eerie shipwreck, a simple cafe/bar with outside seating on the sea front A trendy little place with simple but modish menu of potato wedges, wraps, salads, cocktails, appitisers. very 'wine bar'. A great little place with excellent service and food and very different to what the rest of Paphos has to offer.
