Stayed here for the Les Mills Charity Festival weekend last month. Check in and check out was smooth and fast with friendly warm reception staff. The hotel is really nice with a great location and comfortable rooms. The service in lounge coffee areas inside and outside needs improving however and the staff need to be more polite. Our group was on half board basis which included a buffet dinner. The food quantity, variety and quality was terrible for a five star hotel with hardly any selection of salads or healthy options. The breakfast however was of a much better standard.

Really nice hotel with great location and nice clean rooms. Unfortunately our stay there started bad from the beginning , the service generally is at very low stage for a hotel 5 stars, starting from the check in all trough our stay. The staff was really rude and most of the time unorganized, i know that such a big event like less mills charity festival is hard to handle but really you don't have to be so impolite.
On check in we only received our key without any explanations about anything. There was misunderstanding with our T-shirts so we went to ask on the reception about it, the answer was extremely rude - :"This have nothing to do with us go find someone from the supervisors of the festival". At the end actually it was mistake of the hotel reservations that they didn't gave a correct information to the organizers but ok we said lets just pass it.
Next was- between two classes we had about an hour to have a lunch and go back so we decided to eat in the lobby (even though the prices are really high) in order to save some time but all was again wrong, first i had to go search for the waitress after 10 min waiting, second our order didn't arrive for more than 30 min, but the top of all was when i went to the bar asking about it, there i receive an answer sounded like "ok mana mu is coming" not only rude but ironic... i insisted that is only a sandwich and it shouldn't take so long to be prepared and then came the angry face asking me "don't you see how full it is, look how many people are around" followed from a men shouting loud that it's a club sandwich and something else witch i didn't really understood!
The gala dinner wasn't so bad except that the staff didn't really knew that the tables are organised to be every Gym separated and on the question where is table for our Gym the answer was simple- "just go around and you'll find it".....
Then came the time for the party :) i haven't seen such thing before- 3 persons in a small made up bar in the middle couldn't manage to serve the people at all, we were waiting for 20 min for a drink but not only- one of them even felt comfortable to talk on his mobile at least 3 times witch i don't find professional at all. Basically all this staff there needs a lot of training to be a 5 star so far they are under the 0 for me! The only time i felt that i have been really served from a good people was in the breakfast, only then i saw a smile and only then i was asked how can be served with the meaning of the word serve...

I was puzzled when we booked this trip as to why it would be cheaper to have full board than half board and be given an upgrade to sea-view room as well. It was, indeed, a good choice. However, when we arrived in a sorry state having been let down by our car hire company at the airport and for not following the directions to the hotel with any form of accuracy all we wanted to do was to have something to eat and go to bed.
When we arrived in our room we checked the view even though it was dark by then and all we could see were what appeared to be Leylandii trees about 10 feet from our window.. As we were somewhat disconcerted and exhausted we decided to leave the matter of the view until the morning. It transpired that the upgrade had not been noted but the matter was soon resolved and we were moved into a delightful room with the arranged sea view. After a day it became apparent that the free wi-fi promised did not work well in our room so we asked to move to another. Once again there seemed to be no problem with this request and we were moved along the corridor without trouble.
We had many very pleasant conversations with Christine Jones of Customer Relations who was not only charming but helpful and very knowledgeable about the area.
The restaurants were excellently appointed and, generally, there were two or three options. We ate in the buffet restaurants all the time as the menus kept changing to different themes and were generally of good quality. The restaurant staff were invariably pleasant and efficient as were the reception staff, without exception.
The hotel has its own beach just a few yards walk through the gardens and there is a sister hotel just down the road where clients can go for variety and a 15% discount in the restaurant. It is situated about a 15 minute walk to the main drag of shops and restaurants.
There are many fitness facilities and swimming pools so most demands will be met. We would return to this hotel if it was not quite so far from Paphos and the 4 local golf courses which are all on the other side of Paphos. It took about ¾ hour to drive to Aphrodite Hills and the Elea and Secret Valley clubs were only a few minutes nearer even though the traffic was very light in comparison with London.
We were blessed with the most divine weather for the full 7days which apparently changed for the worse shortly after we left the island.

Room Tip: Go for a sea view room

We stayed here in October 2014 for 10 nights. On arrival we were greeted by a lady from the hotel who kindly showed us around and showed us where we could get a bite to eat and drink since we arrived late in the evening.

We had booked a sea view room and were given an update Suite which was very nice but it was on the ground level and we could not see the panoramic sea view we usually enjoy. So we asked for a change of room to the top floor which we got.

Entertainment
There was evening entertainment every night and was very good and ended the day nicely. I believe it was put together by the hotel animation team. There were visiting acts but these were less entertaining.

Restaurants and Meals
There were a few restaurants to choose from but we preferred to go to the same one. We never had to queue and always found a table. The food quality was good and the menu appeared to change every day so there was variety. However, compared to other hotels we have stayed at I would say the variety was not extensive nor sparse. The hotel had a female pianist who played every evening and made a for pleasant relaxing time after lunch.

Service
Staff in all roles were very helpful.

All inclusive
On reflection I would say it would be better to go full board if possible as the all inclusive drinks were local and not that appealing. We did not drink that much and felt that we did not receive the full benefit of what we paid for. Also, you have to pay for the drinks in the minibar even the water which we felt indicated a lack of quality - penny pinching. That said you could order, water at the restaurant and take what you had not finished back to your room although I believe there may be a hotel policy of not being able to take anything from the restaurant.

The Beach
We always went to the beach so cannot comment on the pools although they looked very good. We always managed to find a couple of sunbeds but you needed to be up early to ensure you got an umbrella. The sun loungers had foam mattresses which is what I like rather than hard canvass type. The water was warm but as with most beaches in Cyprus there are small to media size rocks on the beach edges so if you have sensitive feet better to wear aqua shoes if you go in to the sea.

In October the weather was good 27 degrees on average.

Car hire
Walk out of the hotel and on the left you can arrange car hire for reasonable rates. We paid 90 euro for 2 days but it comes down the longer you have it. You have to pay a deposit but you get this back. There is also a convenience store there also where you can bits to take back to your room if you prefer.

There is a also a bus outside the hotel which takes you to Pathos or Coral Bay shops.

We enjoyed our stay and in fact tried to stay on 4 extra days but First Choice (Thompson) wanted payment for a full return flight even though they had spare seats which we felt was poor customer service.

I believe if the all inclusive drinks had more international choice and the minibar had been all inclusive I would have give this hotel 5 stars.

The infrastrucure is very good, especially for sports fan. The gym is well equipped also with some up to date apparatus. The outdoor pool long enough (though a bit shallow) for sports swimmers, the indoor at the shorter end for for that type of swimmers. If you intend to use the dedicated sports basin at the back of the hotel you should ask first whether the water is treated (it wasn't mid November, hence not swimmable). We did also MTB tours which can start from the hotel (you will have to rent bikes externally for that - I can recommend http://www.mountainbikecyprus.com/). I did not test out the tennis courts but they appeared to be ok.
We booked a standard sea view room. It was almost above the terrace, which is not recommendable if there are activities there until late evening (which was only once the case). It was ok but at least the cabinet could afford a renovation. What is clearly missing are more shelves/drawers. The rare existing one we had to first clean and they did not take much care of the space under the bed. Else the room service was good and staff friendly. WLAN works mostly well, and we could even watch TV on our iPad (with few interruptions).
The food (we booked half board) was ok but with the exception of the evening when they served local food, which was excellent. On the good side they changed the dishes on the buffet substantially. The breakfast buffet has astonishing good bread and they prepare omlets for you. The quality of the orange juice is below standard (I would call it a syrup; if you want freshly squeezed the ask 3 Euros ..), the same with the quality of the meat. No dry meat and no dried/smoked fist available. Coffee is ok (other than what you would expect if you see these machines). The waiters are attentive and generally friendly.
All in all we were satisfied to much satisfied. It is however a 4* and not 5* hotel in international standards.

Room Tip: The rooms at the Easter end are more quiet as further away from the terrace.

The hotel is perfect clean, Amazing sea view.
But the service we had during the diner time it was not the proper one for a 5 star hotel. They did not even had a salad the food was poor and not tasty. Even though the sweets where a bid better..

I stayed in the Coral Beach in May and enjoyed it very much. The hotel is quite big with lots of outside areas. The rooms might be a little simple but the huge lobby and the terraces where you can have a nice cocktail or coffee make up for it. The view from there is absolutely gorgeous...I ate in the main restaurant for lunch buffet style. The quality was very good, the service is very friendly. The staff are mostly Cypriots which is a big plus if you are looking for immersion in the local culture (unfortunately it is not the case in most hotels). They are genuinely friendly and funny..I also ate in the fish restaurant, very nice ambience lovely food. Overall, kudos to the chef and his team. I can recommend to anybody for a relaxed weekend.
