“friendly staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

most of the harbour side restaurants make you feel like another bum on a seat but the staff here are very friendly and happy to take time with customers.

“not to be missed!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2013

Just back from two weeks in Fiscardo- our fourth stay there but we had not been back for four years. We went to Lagoudera 2 on the harbour- not to be confused with Lagoudera 1 which is not on the harbour.
We were instantly recognised and given a fantastic welcome although the restaurant was very busy. Although we tried a number of other restaurants we kept going back to Lagoudera 2. Panos, Gregory and the family make all diners very welcome and provide a whole range of information about Fiscardo as well as lots of help in menu selections.
All our meals were excellent but the highlight was the very reasonably priced fish platter- we went into the kitchen and chose our fish- for four of us we had sea bass, bream, calamari, grilled prawns etc- a real feast! We tried different dishes almost each time we ate there and were never disappointed. The restaurant was always busy and it is best to book if you would like a harbourside table. The service is excellent- when busy it can take a short time- but that can be expected with fresh food cooked to order.
We were given complimentary desserts and wine and would highly recommend this restaurant for a great evening out- with Panos and Gregory adding to the experience.

“Great value and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2013

On having a lazy day we decided to get a carry out from here to take back to the apartment , the staff couldn't of been more helpful .
2 x pitta gyros , freshly made greek salad and an extra portion of fries ... 10 euros ! you just can't go wrong.
Food tasted fantastic too .
A++++ all round

“What a disappointment”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2013

Thought we'd try this place for lunch while strolling the harbour. As a Greek, I'm always weary of the potential tourist traps but I thought a simple souvlaki pita meal for two should be manageable even by the most average greek restaurant. Guess I was wrong....

The souvlaki was the blandest I've had in Greece ( and I've had MANY), the service just as bad. The old guy that was serving seemed completely uninterested and just kept braking into singing for himself. At one point an English coupled signaled his attention for something and he started grumbling in Greek softly not realizing I could understand him.

Thankfully the meal was cheap given it was souvlakis but I had to ask for the bill 3 times.

If you want a better souvlaki (but still not one of the best) try Roula's Grill house a few doors down.

“Get a table quick!! It gets very busy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013

We ate at the Lagoudera on the harbour side ......not sure if there are two parts to it or two restaurants with similar/same names......both seem very different! This place is busy and the staff so upbeat and happy which just makes for a great evening out. Ate stuffed lamb which was tender and tasty it came with mash potato which was a strange green colour but tasted good. My husband had traditional meatballs and rice which was piping hot and full of flavour. We were given watermelon as an added extra following our main course. Attempted to go back for our farewell dinner on our last evening in Kefalonia but alas no table this was at 8.30-8.45!
