“Location 5 stars, amenities 3”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2013

Arriving at the hotel located on the slope among gardens down to the sea where sailing boats surf the blue waters the visitor gets a fine first impression. But not so very soon after. There were no pillow covers no glasses, not only by the mini bar but in the bathroom also.TV programms were only six or seven, we did not bother any more. Going to the pool at 1.00 pm there were no towels.Breakfast had variety but in greek summer available fruits were apples and oranges only. If you ask for drinking water there are only one litre mineral bottles and you pay for it. The buffet is of fast food quality and few dishes. If you choose Saturday to stay you may realise how noisy and late to end is a wedding gala. Wi-Fi is available only at the lobby. The staff (all greeks ) tries very much but they are few. I do not think I will stay there again.

I stayed there for a couple of days.
The rooms are spacious and offer sea view.
Not maintained to 100% though.
Leykada has a lot of humidity especially during summer and will be great if common areas had A/C.
I decided to go for a swim at 8:30 in the morning to find out that the pool bar opens at 10:00 which was really frustrating.
Breakfast was ok nothing special.
Parking area is not adequate for all visitors.

Great hotel in an amphitheatrical built, with magnificent view, pleasant-polite-helpfull staff. Although it is a hotel with double rooms, can easily accommodate families. We, family of four, we had booked for 5 nights and we finally 8. Lefkada is a beautiful island also, Egremni beach is breathtaking-the best beach we ever seen.

Let's hope that the new manager will be able to persuade the owner to invest some funds mainly into training the stuff. People working at the hotel are very polite and eager to please the guests BUT they either lack the means to do so or are under-trained on not trained at all on how to do this properly for a 5 star hotel and the level of services expected by its guests.

Several things have to be renovated, repaired and/or replaced but then again this can be expected from facilities in such close proximity to the salty and humid sea side climate. The lack of supporting items such as glasses for the mini bar and WC, soaps, full range of body, hand and bath towels in the rooms for all guests, slippers, emergency sewing kit etc simply because the owner is not giving them to the housekeeping ladies for cost cutting purposes is UNACCEPTABLE for a hotel of this rating.

Half Board meant we tasted the food both for breakfast and dinner at the buffet. Decent quality of food with a few plates during our five days stay reaching up to very good. The variety of dishes both for breakfast and dinner was at a satisfactory to very good level but not up to the claimed 5 stars.
Do not try to ask the waiters for water in a carafe. The only reply you will get is that "the hotel has no carafes". Even after three full days of speaking with the manager and the Police we were unable to have this "exotic" item resting on our table full of fresh water and ice cubes.
This of course is totally illegal and most probably it will be officially reported as a formal complaint to the competent authorities very soon if the hotel owner does not provide a logical explanation about it. The manager provided some input but his actions never realized into anything apart from receiving fresh water with ice cubes in a glass.

The spa was an oasis in full contrast to the other facilities of the hotel. Services from the staff were very well deserving the 5 stars with all of them offering their presence with a true smile and eager to assist, same as their colleagues from the other departments, but also being well trained and educated for what they were doing and how to offer it to their guests and clients. A few items in the changing rooms and lockers were in need of repair/replacement but the outright experience from the spa was a very positive one.

The location is good but then again the eastern side of Lefkas offers this view in general and from hotels or even holiday apartments that know how to offer proper services without claiming an unjustified (not to say false) 5 star rating

Only things really worth the 5 stars in this hotel, at this moment, are:
1. the smile of most of its employees,
2. the spa for its staff (could score 5 stars in total if not for the required repairs) and
3. the hope that its new manager may be able to restore this hotel back to its very early glory. (which is a really high hope, hence the 5 stars rating for this)

Until then try to avoid it if you treasure your nerves and know what to expect.

It has totally failed to make us feel welcome and privileged something which, after and above all, is the epitome of a proper 5 stars hotel experience.

a very nice hotel with convenient room and magnificient surroundings, in a beautiful island of the Ionian sea. The service was very bad and it was provided mainly by trainees. The only excemption was the barwoman of the beach bar.

Excellent place and design. Very bad service and poor cleanness. The personnel during breakfast could not serve all clients. Someone has to tell them to employ more staff during high season. We had HB but the food served was poor in variety and in taste. This was at least 3* quality so we didn't use it. They have to improve many things in terms of service and menus to be a 5*.
