WORST HOTEL EVER BEEN TO. Service TERRIBLE, bar staff ignorant and not extremely forthcoming with serving drinks. On more than 1 occasion was left waiting for over 10 minutes, definatly wouldn't describe it as all inclusive if they wont serve u!!!!!!!!!!! Food was atrocious, never seen greek, even the RATS we saw wouldn't eat it. Had trip to corfu town and never been so relieved to see a mcdonalds! The beach is certainly more than a 10 minute walk than described and you take ur life into your hands if u decide to try the walk there but certainly safer than the death trap they call a shuttle bus! Rooms very cramped and beds like park benches. Prison, sorry, hotel ran out of basic life saving items such as bottled water with no idea when more would arrive. With no supermarket anywhere near this proved a big problem. No entertainment unless you consider violence toward hotel guests entertainment but with what sort of place this was wouldn't of expected anything less.

Hey, my name is Anna and I usually do not write reviews, but after reading the reviews here and visiting the hotel myself I think it is absolutely unfair on the people who work there. The people are very friendly and helpful they do what they can and provide all services which are available for customers. Both receptionists Maria and Elani were very helpful and spoke perfect English, no problems with communications. The guys at the bars were also very helpful, hardworking and had no problems serving more than 2 drinks at the same time. Room, food and drinks were all reasonable for 3 star hotel in Greece, my friends and I were never hungry and had a good atmosphere around and a pleasant stay for our entire visit.
Try not to expect too much, be generous and just enjoy what is available. My best highlight of this trip was the private beach of the hotel, very quiet and has a fantastic view. I think the hotel is located in a very good, quite, beautiful area from where you can get anywhere very easy, by buses or by hiring a car (better option) or even a boat.
I personally, and my friends had a fantastic stay and enjoyed the time we spent in the hotel.
Suggestion: do not trust reviews, people are all different and have different exceptions.

I hope you can relax and enjoy your holiday as it comes.
Anna :)

I had read all the reviews the things said about wasps i think they blamed the staff mosquitos were not mentioned they were worse. How could people blame the staff or hotel. About the staff they were all very nice reception bar staff kitchen staff and the maids. The hotel was a little out of the way but they provided a bus to the beach you had everthing at the hotel and all free if all inclusive and it is dear outside to eat and drink. Just to say the staff were very nice not what i read. We hired a boat from spiros on barbati beach he was fair with price and a nice man you cant go wrong with him and we had a nice day on the sea.

We booked this all inclusive on teletext holidays and after reading the reviews were dreading going.
Upon arrival we were greeted by a very cheery man - this was at 5.30 in the morning. We were shown to our rooms, which were admittedly small, but contained everything you need - bed, TV, Fridge, Hair dryer, Air con (7 euros a night) and a small adequate bathroom. The rooms are basic, but typical for Greece. The balcony had sea views to die for and we all slept very well thanks to the black out shutters. We managed 4 nights without air conditioning and the room kept cool with the shutters shut. The temperature during our stay was very unusual for June - averaging 32 degrees during the day and staying very warm at night.
The food wasnt bad either - it was more than what we expected - continental breakfasts including fruit, yoghurt, bread, ham, cheese, croissants etc. Lunch and tea were varied, always with a lovely fresh salad and feta cheese, plus cooked meats, pasta or rice or chips. I would say the food compared to the typical greek food you would expect from a Taverna and was certainally nothing to complain about.
Drinks from the bar were from 10.00am to 23.00pm. The all inclusive options were more than enough - vodka, rum, gin, ouzo, lager and wine, plus tea, coffee and soft drinks. All served by lovely bar staff.
Barbati (nearest beach) is a long walk down a very treacherous road. We did this once but its certainally not worth risking it. There is a mini bus provided by the hotel and this goes frequently through the day.
Well worth going to barbati beach and hiring a speed boat - we paid about 35 euros for an hour (including petrol)
There is a lovely walk through the hotel gardens to a decking area that has access to the sea to swim in - this is a lovely part of the hotel and though not very child safe, it was a lovely place to go and relax and diving into the agean sea was Lush - not much effort needed to swim - thanks to the high salt content you can literally float in this and there were lots of fish and dolphins! You can also borrow scuba gear from the sea front bar.
There is no entertainment provided by the hotel on a night time, however we provided our own - there are lots of games to borrow, and cards, and a cinema room to watch films or football :)
Overall a really great holiday at a lovely hotel run by very friendly staff - it really doesnt deserve the bad reviews - anyone that has been to Greece before will know that hotels are basic, but this one was one of the best Greek hotels I have stayed in!
Tips
1. Watch out for Mozzies on the night time - cover up and get some good repellant - arnywear fabric is good
2. There are wasps, but they are lazy and wont bother you!
3. Dont pay for the transfers if you can avoid it, we got a taxi from the airport for £35 euros and it meant we were at the hotel much quicker and equally we were able to get back to the airport for hometime much quicker.
4. Check out Barbati beach - hire a speedboat.
5. Make the most of all inclusive - prices have shot up - its really expensive to go out to eat

Be careful of this Hotel we arrived in the afternoon met by grumpy hotel receptionist, booked in handed in passports told room upstairs had to carry your own bags, arrived at room very cramp, no bath just a shower, shower my foot drop anything you had to get out pick it up get back in, beds looked like they had been put together with pallet boards, meals sub standard but the bees enjoyed it there where hundred of them, no beach no entertainment, pool was okay, be careful of the wacky race to the beach in the not fit for humans mini bus, very dirty. The only good thing about this Hotel was Katrina the girl who done everything, a breath of fresh air, I could go on and on but I do not want to upset you any more, last thing the safe is twenty six pounds for twelve days, Thank You Mike

The positives about this hotel- pool clean, no fight for sun beds,
The negatives- food absolutely terrible, cold even if meant to be hot, chips or greasy wedges with everything, very poor breakfasts, snacks mean cheese toastie only between 2-4pm only. All inclusive drinks limited and strictly only until 11pm. Unhelpful staff, very noisy in the morning the cleaner woke us every morning at 7.45am. Sheets never changed on the bed. It was like an old peoples home at night, play cards or that is it!! no enertainment at all. Beds bedrooms tiny, very hard twin beds with very thin matresses. bathroom tiny, you cannot bend down in the shower, i am only a size 10!!
It is within walking distance of Barbati beach- a very quiet resort but it is a treacherous walk down a winding hilly road.

I wouldn't want to stay here again it was definately not worth the money even though we booked it last minute at a reduced rate. No beach worth visitng nearby, Barbati very rocky, Ipsos very narrow and shingle.

This was the best holiday ever, yes it has its ups and downs but you make your own holiday, if you are gonna be miserable then you will have a miserable holiday, ipsos is a lovely place not extremely busy like Corfu Town that i hated, nor extremely quiet, we met some really nice people at this hotel and the staff were very helpful, alanya was mainly on reception and would help anyone whatever you needed, the free bus was fantastic a great way to get to barbati or ipsos and was a great buzz, the room was small but adequate, when you see the balcony the views are to die for, yes food wasnt great but for the price we paid all inclusive there was nothing we could moan about (not like some obviously), Tiffanys in Ipsos is a great bar and nice people you get some characters its great, the hightlight of the holiday was hiring a speed boat (its a must) a great way to see the island, this was my partners first proper holiday abroad and he cant wait to go back, thankyou all for a great holiday!
