“TIP TOP SERVICE”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

Sergio has been running this business for a few years now. When he worked at Estrela da Luz's Calabaza, it was clear that staff training and attention to detail were his forte.

At Alloro, he has this down to an art. If you are sitting inside the restaurant, you get a full view of the kitchen which is very interesting. There is all of the hustle and bustle of a kitchen staff working very hard to get the food out quickly and efficiently.

The waiting staff are mainly familiar faces who have been there for some time. They leave nothing unattended and are always quick to provide service with a smile.

As a restaurateur myself, I recognise customer service as the most important factor - even more so than the quality of the food served.

Having said that, the food is always consistently good - we had seafood linguine, salmon steak, spag bol. All excellent.

No trip to Praia da Luz is complete without visiting Alloro in the Vila Baia Development.

“Lovely restaurant and great food.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013

Although I was staying in this hotel, I only discovered the restaurant on my 3rd day and I'm so glad I did. Not only is the food excellent but it is also a lovely place, spacious and a choice of outdoor or indoor seating. It also has another very nice area to sit outside after your meal and enjoy a cocktail or for people with young kids, there is a play area outside. I highly recommend Alloro and the staff, great for lunches at the pool as well if you are staying there.

The lamb dish is fab and if your a vegetarian then the goats cheese lasagne is amazing.

“Child friendly excellent quality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013

The food in this restaurant is excellent. Their lasagne is top class. The staff are attentive and excellent with kids (they have 2 crates of toys for the little ones). Whilst I rate the food in chiccas higher, the overall service and experience in this restaurant rates higher in my opinion. My personal no.1 in Luz.

“Pretty good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

We were staying at the complex where Alloro is located and visited there three times as it was so convenient. The menu is a little limited, although they change the fish special daily - we had the swordfich and the bream which were very good. Our teenagers had the pasta and pizzas which they all enjoyed. Service is excellent both at lunchtime and evenings.

“Alloro restaurant 27th june 2013”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2013

Excellent dining experience at a reasonable price in great surroundings but also very family friendly. This was by far the best meal we had during our stay in luz. Imaginative starters beautifully presented followed by seafood linguine and the sea bass main course were both very good. The desserts were also high quality and service was very attentive and friendly. I also liked the fact that there was a great kids menu and adults could have a quality meal in a lovely restaurant while the kids ate good quality food for just 5 euros. Overall a must visit in luz make the effort to find it if you want a quality meal at very reasonable price
