Our second time in this wonderful little hotel , Mary looks after your every need, she is wonderful, Kostas is very much in the background, but never stops,he keeps the gardens and grounds immaculate , Mary and Kostas sons are a credit to them, very hands on,and never stop looking after you,not forgetting Claudia and Valentina (lovely songbirds)who also keep the rooms immaculate , The beautiful harbour is a short walk away, and all the fantastic restaurants a bit further,We met lots of lovely couples there,Some we will always remember, thanks for the memories guys.

Second time in Skiathos, this time we stayed at this wonderful little hotel. Fantastic location, so clean and Mary is amazing, she is so friendly and you feel so welcome, the girls Claudia & Valentina are lovely, had a tear in my eye when I left. Lots of choices from town to get about, buses, water taxi, ferry. Visited Tsoucrias Island beach, heaven!!

This was our second visit to Skiathos and we stayed here having read the great reviews from Trip Advisor and weren’t disappointed. It really is a stunning little hotel with a small pool, snack bar and in a great location for a stroll to the town centre in around 10 minutes. Mary and her family do everything to make you feel at home and lots of people go back there year after year because of this.

We hired a moped to visit some of the 60+ beaches on offer (easier than getting the bus everyday) and we did this through First Rentals in town- very genuine and they give you the correct insurance too- this worked out about 20 euros a day and is a fab way to explore what the island has to offer.

We ate some fantastic restaurants too- you should definitely take a trip up the hills to Panorama Pizza Restaurant, the views here are stunning and so is the food, it’s well worth the trip uphill, but you may have to get off your moped if there’ s two of you on it! Another great restaurant is Lynharis in town near the bike rental place. The owners are a Dutch lady and her Greek husband. You get complimentary garlic breads, ouzo and they always do a fab free pudding! It really is the best for authentic Greek food. Some other great restaurants were The Windmill, Final Step (both English owned) and the Italian Lo and La, but we also found Mylos down by the old Harbour to be super value and authentic great food. If you want to do a boat trip, then try Evdora with Captain George on the harbour front. It’s a Catamaran and he only takes about 12 people. They always seem to find dolphins near Skopolos and have some great swimming stops and lunch at a taverna on Skopolos island for about 40 Euros each, well worth it!
Overall, another fantastic holiday in Skiathos, we will certainly be going back to this exquisite Greek delight very soon….

This is the perfect hotel for those who enjoy making new friends, clean rooms and friendly service. Situated a 5 minute walk from the harbour and 10 mins to the centre of town, it is perfectly situated. The service is second to none, the rooms are exceptionally clean, (however the best ones are on the first floor, as they have better views and benefit from cool breezes). Room 203 is particularly lovely. Breakfast although the same every day has plenty of choice and is very fresh. Lunch made by the amazing Mary, is delicious even though the menu is slightly restricted. Try the tuna salad - it's to die for! Mary works really hard keeping the place spotlessly clean, she is friendly and welcoming and also has a great sense of humour. But let's not forget the backroom staff, Costas keeps a low profile but works like a trojan, the waitresses/housemaids, Claudia and Valentina, are warm and pleasant and execute their job perfectly. Mary's sons run the bar, again great service. This holiday for me was a real eye-opener, I can honestly say I have never received the level of service from any other hotel that I did from Costas and Mary. Although I'm told the mattresses are new, they are for me, too hard but most people were happy with them. This hotel is private, safe and a really great place to be, it felt like a private villa with lots of like minded people just waiting to make friends with you. The only drawback was (for us) that we had two 15 year olds with us, and they felt it was "too old" for them. This was because the clientel were predominently over 40s and there wasn't any other youngsters around. There's no water aerobics or mad games around the pool (thank god!). No disco in the evening (hoorah!). No lager louts (yipee!!). In the evenings guests gather around the bar for a drink before going out to dinner and on their return from their evening out again join each other around the bar for drinks. No pressure though, go for a drink or don't.

Room Tip: Rooms on the second floor benefit from double aspect and a through breeze

We returned to Costas Mary in July after staying there in July 2012. The hotel is still perfect in every way. If anyone makes any complaint about this hotel they are being pretentious and should be ignored. It is immaculate, the service is perfect, well positioned, nice rooms, great pool, super breakfast and a very good price. If you are going to skiathos as a couple it is the perfect choice. I do not think it is a place for children. I will return.

Sitting by the pool getting ready to leave , we have had a fantastic time here again. The hotel is still as clean as always the rooms have new mattresses and half of them have new air con (all rooms will have by next summer) the family and staff are caring and fun . My father fell while we were here and needed treatment Mary took them her self to hospital and nursed him the following morning, what a star! Skiathos is still a fantastic place to be we will be hard pushed to pick a new holiday destination. The dilemma is not if we return but when truly a fantastic place to stay

Lovely friendly hotel within 5 minutes walk of the new harbour of Skiathos Town. Lovely owners and staff. Mary in particular goes out of her way to be welcoming and friendly. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. Nice sized pool, plenty of sunbeds and a pool bar surrounded by a small but pretty garden with palm trees, grape vines and lemon trees. Food at breakfast is plentiful (chopped omelette, baked beans and little hotdog sausages, bread, fruit and yogurt, cereal and cake) but is the same every day, so we went into town for a cooked breakfast on 2 mornings for a change. The hotel is only 5 minutes from the airport. Luggage is delivered separately as the coach can't get down the narrow lane to the hotel, but our cases were waiting for us when we arrived. You can walk to the old port and the Bourtzi peninsula within 15 minutes or so. Skiathos Town is gorgeous. Lots of shops, bars and restaurants. Our favourite restaurant was Limanaki at the bottom of the lane from the hotel. We ate there twice as it had the most choice and had a vegetarian menu for me. The O Paraxenos restaurant off the main shopping street (Evagelistrias) and Sofia's Family restaurant high up next to the church with fabulous views, was also very nice. Favourite bars were Central Bar and Portobello, both on the main shopping street. But you have to experience the Rock n Roll Bar and View Bar with colourful beanbags and sofas and twinkly lights in bird cages, on a flight of steps at the far end of the old port. Cocktails are huge and are half price at happy hour. This was our second visit to Skiathos. Last time we stayed in Troulos which was too quiet for us. Skiathos Town was so much better. Pretty and vibrant. We hired a quad (Akropolis Rental) this time to experience the dirt roads through the mountains (stunning scenery) and the northern beaches which are inaccessible by bus. Brilliant brilliant holiday. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.
