“Worth Trying”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013

Stayed for 2 weeks and had some concerns having read reviews on here. Needn't have worried as the place is fine. Yes the comments about lack of views and basic breakfast are accurate, but so are the high standards of service and cleanliness. As Grrek Hotels go, this was a better one and the views from around the pool are fantastic. Staff were great, location is fine and I would be happy to use the Hotel again.

Room Tip: Only 3 rooms with a view - suggest you make sure which you have its its important to you

This hotel is in a great position both for Skiathos town and access to Megli Amos beach.
The bus stop is just across the road so you have easy access to get to the many other beautiful beaches on the island.
As other people mentioned the hotel rooms are basic but we always had hot water.
Breakfast is basic but other items are available and at reasonable prices.
We were in room 28 on the lower floor and didn't have a sea view, but a terrace within a courtyard of the rooms. This was not a major issue to me & my husband for the amount of time that we actually spent in the room.
The hotel does lack a little atmosphere but makes up for it in the amazing views over the beach and due to its excellent location the Aria is great value for money.
The staff we friendly enough but we didn't spend much time at the hotel and the town has a array of bars and restaurants to choose from that you can't go wrong there.
This is our 3rd visit to Skiathos and as we know the island and have friends there this was an ideal location for what we required.
If your looking for luxury then this is not for you but if you want a clean hotel in a great location to discover a beautiful island then the Aria is an ideal base.

Room Tip: Great base to explore a beautiful island with so much to offer.

POSITIVES: Fantastic location, less than 5 mins from Megali Amos beach and 10mins to the port. Pool area overlooking the beach with stylish furniture. Hotel clean. Rooms a little basic but it is Greece and didn't expect any better. Air con cheap compared to other hotels, only 25 e per week, paid much more than that 3 years ago in an other hotel. Good size fridge in room, bathroom adequate size and had plenty of hot water for showers. Beds were very comfy, linen changed regularly. Breakfast for myself and my friend was more than adequate, cheese, ham, bread and Jams and asked Edmund the waiter for tomatoes (should have cost us 1e but only got charged on the day he wasn't working. Edmund (he's actually a local) was 'the face' of the hotel, he is extremely helpful, even at the end of his 12/13hr shift. Well done Edmund.!! Ate in the restaurant one night, food excellent but its so quite!!
We had a fantastic deal on this hotel and hate to put the following but feel I need to.
NEGATIVES: The pool was 'murky' not clean at all, went in it once in 2 weeks and only up to my waist. Such a shame as the pool area is stunning. Someone is going to get ill if they're not careful.
The only other downside is that there is no atmosphere in the bar, hardly anyone had a drink there at night, we had 2 drinks there and that was because the Chef's daughter and friend were staying there and one of them played the guitar and was amazing.

Room Tip: We had room 8 and had a view of an other hotel and the mountains. Nice room, was disappointed at 1s...

Positives: Great Location. Wonderful view from pool area, view of the sea one side, view of the mountains on the other. Very friendly staff, hotel areas and rooms kept very clean, bed comfortable. Skiathos Town 10 to 15 minute walk.
Negatives: No safety deposit boxes, sad to say, but in this day and age, a no no. As previously described basic breakfast, which is typical of Greece, some sliced bread , 2 bits of ham and cheese cut diagonally to make 4, and some honey, marmalade and jams in a little packet, but at a extra cost you can purchase other items from a breakfast menu.
Avoid lower rooms, dingy and face a wall. Rooms could do with updating. The air conditioning was unreliable at times and could do with being upgraded
Having said all that, would we stay there again, yes if safety deposit box and a guarantee of a higher floor room.

Room Tip: The higher the better. Rooms on the lower floors are dark with only a view of the wall of a neighbou...

Just back after a very dissapointing stay
We stayed here last year and mickis the manager could not have been my helpful.
This Year there was no mickis, The so called manager was about as ignorate and unhelpful as he new how to be.
We asked to be moved and all he said was maybe tommorrow, It never did happen he said he had to get permission. So after this he tried to be unpleasant but it just didn,t work.
We didn,t spend any time there or have any thing to drink in the bar.
Other members of staff where very pleasant . iF THE ONWNERS COULD HAVE MADE A MORE CHEERFULL PERSON NIN CHARGE IT WOULD BE BETTER BUT WITH THIS GUY THEY WILL LOOSE OUT.

Room Tip: Rooms 1 & 2 are good dont ask for high floor it doesn,t happen

Location of this hotel is great and the staff is friendly, but we were not at all pleased withe the rooms. Being a big group, we had four rooms, two of wich being nice rooms, one having a mold problem and the last one being badly located and very dark. Also the shower was leaking hot water, giving the room a rainforest climate. Luckily, this was taken care of once we brought it to the management`s attention. Still the rooms were not quite satisfactory and I was espescially surprised by the big differences between the standard of the rooms, even though we had all paid the same. That being said, the pool area was delightful and the pool bar was good.

Room Tip: The numbers are sort of randomly placed, but stay away from the ground floor and especially rooms 15...

For the price we didnt expect too much ... how wrong were we !!
a little gem of a hotel 5 minutes from the airport on the edge of skiathos town , just a short walk away , a lovely clean hotel with a superb view and amazing staff !
Edmond looked after us like we were royalty , nothing & I mean nothing was too much trouble for this guy from checking us in in , carrying the bags to the room, serving breakfast and drinks, arranging sun beds & umbrellas throughout the day , he is a star !
Thank you for a memorable stay
