After reading some of the reviews on here I really didn't know what to expect but a lot of the bad ones I took with a pinch of salt and I'm really glad I did. I wanted a beach holiday for myself and boyfriend (aged 19 and 24) something all inclusive so we didn't need to worry about money when we got there and something cheap and cheerful as I'm a student so don't have much money to start with.
The location of the hotel is beautiful! The beach is amazing with luscious transparent turquoise water in which you could see loads of fish swimming by, great for a bit of surface snorkeling. There are two pools one for the beach club which is more family orientated and a quieter pool up at the hotel, we had no problem with getting a sun bed besides either of the pools but perhaps this is was because we went towards the end of season.
As far as the room went we booked a room with a double bed and ended up with a room with two double beds! The room was spacious had a good sized balcony with table and chairs and a good sized bathroom. Okay it needed some modernizing but for its star rating it fit the bill! However the shower head (we had a bath/shower) was very temperamental and fluctuated between freezing cold and scalding hot which was annoying to say the least. There was a great maid service as whilst you were out each day she would clean your room, make your bed and provide you with fresh towels.
I think the selection of food was great! Plenty to choose from and plenty of restaurants to eat in, however you had to book the night before to eat in the hotel restaurant or chinese. There was always a nice buffet spread that I believe catered for everyone! There was multiple bars that served a good selection of alcohol and soft drinks too - yes drinks are served in plastic cups but this really isn't that much of a biggie.
After the welcome talk we decided to go on some of the excursions; san antonio bay sunset cruise, aguamar water park and can marca caves all were great! We also talked to Michael, the rep, and asked him for help in finding our way to one of the clubs/ booking tickets... he booked tickets for us to see Tiesto at Pacha and told us where to get the bus etc it was only €2.70 to Ibiza town on the bus! It was €40 back in a taxi after the event and the tickets cost €57 each which wasn't to bad for a great night!
The complex is a bit out in the middle of no-where however there are some beautiful little souvenir shops across the road which also sell convenience goods. The great thing about this resort is you can either just spend the whole week sitting and relaxing and you wouldn't need to move as all your amenities are right there, the beach is on your doorsteps. But Ibiza is so beautiful so I would definitely go and explore even if it's only watching the sun set in San Antonio bay!
All in all I really enjoyed this holiday, I felt that the staff were friendly, the complex was clean and tidy and the food and drink standards exceeded my expectations and most of all the location was just mind blowing. I am now sat in a rainy England with a cold and holiday blues! I would definitely recommend this resort! It is great for couples and young families.
