After a heavy week of sightseeing in India we flew to Goa to this comfortable luxury Hotel.
Arrivng in early November the "season" was just beginning. We had a lovely ground floor room with balcony overlooking a logoon ( No bug problems throughtout the trip!) and fairly close to the hotel. Always cleaned to perfection and with good turn down service in the evening. Most of the guests prefer the sandy whilte beach ( and why not?) but this time we preferred to stay round the pool which I found prefect, even for my daily lengths. It might not be a lap pool but its wide enough for "lappers". Lovely comfortable sun loungers , loads of natural shade or unbrellas. beatuiful spa with sauna and steam as well as a more than adequte gym, all well manned and constantly pristine.
I enjoyed my daily half hour on the free bikes.
I am fussy with my breakfast, but it would be hard to find fault. They even had the All bran wheat flakes, bananas and semi skimmmed milk. There was a big selection of breads (granary french etc) , a whole Indian section, fresh fruit section with various juices, smoothies, freshly cooked eggs, omlettes, pancakes.. A full range of coffees, my wife had her Green tea and i had my double expresso- and when it got cold, it was replaced. Yes It was the same every day but you could eat a different breakfast every day if you wanted to!
We did not eat dinner in the hotel. 5 star hotels are similar wherever you go. There were lots of local places and lthough I was careful not to eat salad out, I had no trouble with eating outside in the various restaurants on the beach and by or near the Hotel. My wife enjoyed a couple of massage treatments in the hotel which were costly but which she enjoyed.
The staff are friendly and willing to help. The grounds are gardens are lovely.
There's no much to do in this area but we really needed a few days to relax at the end of our holiday and this was the perfect place to do it. We had all the tv stations we needed ( man united of course). We didnt venture more than a mile from the hotel all week.
The sea was warm as a bath.
