It was the 2nd time to visit leopards. the first time was during our honey moon in 2010. the experience was so nice thats why we planned a come back. This time round it was a horrible experience. on the gate the guards one Festers (Not sure of the name but two guards on duty on 26th Feb both Kamba) misstreated us.we learned that it was because we were kenyans and we came with public means. since the guard used words like "Shida ya wakenya" and other unpleasant words.
Getting to the rooms we find single beds??? I had booked as a husband and wife! no bath tabs. My wife cried the whole evening due to mishandling by the untrained guards

leapoard is a great hotel but because of their guards i will never ever again visit leorpard neither will i recomend any one there. we had gone to have fun but my wife ended up crying the whole night. even after reporting the incidence to the duty manager we were ot assured that action will be taken against the guard.

Dear Mwangangi,

First and foremost, we would like to thank you for choosing to visit Leopard Beach Resort and Spa for the second time.

We have noted with concern the issues raised in your review. We would like to sincerely apologize for any unprofessional treatment accorded to you and your wife that fell beyond the routine security check upon arrival at our resort.

Our routine security checks are employed to ensure that you; our guest is safe at all times within our premises. Prior to the checks, we always notify our guests and request for their co-operation as we go about it. We accord a non discriminatory approach when attending to this as the safety of our guests is paramount to us irrespective of their status, race, color and religion.
The inconvenience which you experienced upon arrival is most definitely not the standard we strive to achieve. Please be assured that stern disciplinary measures were immediately enforced to ensure that such an occurrence does not happen again.

In our quest to provide the very best in guest amenities, we recently renovated our guestroom bathrooms. All bathrooms in our standard rooms, superior rooms and Cottages have been designed and fitted with eco friendly features to include eco smart rain showers; this is in line with sustainable tourism practices that in many ways allow us to conserve this very vital and scarce resource; water.

For that extra comfort, additional amenities e.g Jacuzzi’s, power showers, sunken bath tubs, outdoor rain showers are provided in our suites and villas which come highly recommended for those seeking privacy, luxury and comfort in a stunning location.

At Leopard Beach Resort and Spa we acknowledge each guest as part of our bigger family. We embrace diversity and take pride in the beautiful differences that define each one of us.

Please note that we value your feedback as it is a tool we constantly use to improve and enhance the quality of our products and services that greatly contribute to the overall guest experience.

Should you stay at Leopard Beach Resort and Spa again, we shall make sure that every effort will be made to ensure that you enjoy our true hospitality.

Kind Regards,
Chui Team

We ad the pleasure to visit Kenya once again and stayed 7 days at the fabulous Leopard Beach Resort on Diani beach, Mombasa South Coast.
We were welcomed by helpful and friendly staff with refreshing juice and cooling towels before escoerted to our room which was what they call a Chui-Gottage. A spacious luxury room with private lawn in front and with a great view to Indian Ocean.
Rooms in Leopard beach Hotel are situated in well kept very spacious tropical gardens with large veriety of plants and colourful flowers.
The Spa with all the desirable treatments can be found in the beatuful gardens area, too.
Staying on half- board basis we had our dinner in the main restaurant Horizon with an excellent choice of fresh salads and tasty main-courses of daily varying menus. Horizon restaurant also offrers weekly fantastic garden and beach BBQ with local entertainment for no extra costs.
Lunc we enjoyed either in the Pool Bistro serving delicious salads and seafood platters or in Pizza n´Pasta Tornati by the beac offering absolutely the best Pizzas on the coast.
To higlight our stay we had dinner in the Chui Grill which serves superb ala-carte dishes especially of seaffood an very stylish surroundings. Prior to your dinner you can enjoy drinks or coctails either in less formal Marco´s or stylish Mario´s - the "in places" on Diani Beach.
The beach is part of the miles long Diani Beach which is excellent for morning walks, jogging or swim.
Another highlight of our trip was a 2-nights trip to Tsavo Est - a welcome break from beach holiday - where we stayed at Satao Camp - a truly memorable experience arranged by Southern Cross Safaris with a very knowledgeable and experienced driver/guide called Mike.
Special thanks we want to express to the staff of Leopardbeach and Satao. Their frienliness and helpfulness multiplied the enjoyment!
All in all we enjoyed our stay again so much that we will absolutely be back soonest possible and can recommend Leopard Beach Hotel as well as Satao Camp without hesitancy.

Room Tip: You might find favourable upgrade prices on your arrival !

Even though the "regular" rooms at LB are mighty fine, if you can swing it, indulge yourself with a private villa. We rented one of these out for three days, and it was like living like a rock star. It was clean, beautiful and so spacious! And, it had it's own bar to throw parties. Loved it!
I shot some video of the interior of one of the villas - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f76y78TEEm8 CHEERS!

We took a charter trip to Kenia... well we do not normally go on charter tours. Uppgraded the room to a nice beach suite and bought a gourmet package: so we could have wonderful dinners each night. The uppgrade was worth every penny: had a swell holiday with first class service and enjoyed haute cuisine.

I'd describe myself as a demanding hotel guest but have no complaints about this establishment... and yes I have been to several places in Africa before. Staying at the resort is comfortable but of course it's just luxury and if you are inclined to see Africa you have to go outside the paradise... we just had 7 days and enjoyed our little paradise.

P.S. Mind the monkeys; clever and playfull fellows

I have been to this beautiful hotel but not for the past two years and have seen a good hotel become a first class one. The rooms have had their bathrooms upgraded with lovely tiles and bathroom fittings, cleanliness is first class with staff supplying a first class service to visitors. From the moment you arrive till you leave they are friendly, do everything to help and assist you in ensuring the Jambo welcome is there. Security is paramount with cars being checked ensuring that you feel secure and with the adverse reports about Kenya this really calms your nerves. The beautiful gardens, soft sand beaches and pools are kept immaculate. The food has been enhanced with selection in the buffet by the introduction of an Austrian Consultant Chef offering even more variety. The people and staff you come into contact with are lovely, prepared to assist you with your every need and this hotel offers everything you could need for a restful, calm break with the addition of pampering facilities offered in the spa area. Staff are very well trained and do a good manicure and pedicure for us girls. So sorry to leave this little part of paradise on the Kenyan Coast. Kawheri to all and asanti sanna for a lovely time.

Room Tip: Upgrade to one of their first class garden rooms. Good tea and coffee making facilties along with a...

We spent one week in Leopard. Although I must admit that the quality of standard room isn't very high and we had to pay more money to get better rooms that could satisfy us, generally the hotel is great. It is mainly because thanks to those wonderful people who work there. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Thanks to this wonderful atmosphere I would like to return to that hotel many times. I loved the animator Brian, who was so friendly that although we don;t really like sport we went to water aerobics every day. He created great atmosphere and we all loved that guy. Iha, his friend was also very friendly. We also enjoyed the elder guy who gave us sunbeds: extremely friendly and helpful. To all the waitresses and waiters: you do a great job. Leopard's has a great beach and beautiful gardens. One of the gardeners, Stephen, showed us plants and animals living in the gardens. It was so nice to see that he was proud of his job. Generally, we really recommend this hotel, especially to those who like peace and quiet, great friendly atmosphere, beautiful nature and comfort.

We have stayed at this hotel for a short beach break. Everything was great, from reservation through their Nairobi Booking Office until check out. I must admit I was bit skeptical with some negative reviews on Trip Advisor, but the place is great. One can always be critical, and there is always room for improvement, but this place is nice and we will hopefully go back in April.

We received a warm welcome at the entrance where host man offered us fresh welcome cocktail. At the reception, we were told that our room was upgraded because they simply had extra rooms available. We were taken to our cottage which had a see view, the room was big and had lot of space outside with chairs and traditional beach bed. We were kindly explained all we needed to know. The wi-fi Internet was also working fine in the room.

The breakfast was great, plenty of everything. Some viewers commented that it is always the same, but there is nothing more one can think of for breakfast. Coffee and tea were served free of charge at 4:00 pm by the pool. We had buffet dinner and we have no complaints about the choice and taste.

The beach is great and you can order your lunch there too. You do not have to have any money with you, you can simply add it to your room and pay on checkout. The pool is also there, with clean water.

As for entertainment, there was live music in the main restaurant. There is also spa, but we have not tried it. There are also some shops in the lobby area where you can buy paintings and handcrafts.

We traveled with our three year old son, and he had great time at the beach. Kids club is also there, but it is located in the very small room. I expected some activities for the kids at the pool, but have not seen anything. I wish they also had some water attractions either at the pool or in the sea, for example slide and pedal boats. It is not expensive, but it keeps kids happy.

Somebody commented on monkeys, and the smell . Well, the hotel is surrounded by tropical gardens and monkeys live there. It is an attraction and they have their role there as thei cats too which chase snakes away. The management requests guests not to feed monkeys and cats, and there is a reason for that. There were no mosquitos around the hotel and rooms. Mosquito nets are provided though at request.

The staff of the hotel are its greatest asset. Everyone is kind and attentive. Nobody asked for tip, but we were happy to give it. We checked ot at 5 am, and there was light breakfast and coffee for us in the main restaurant. I can say that we have traveled a lot and have not experienced such service yet.

So overall, if you wish to relax at the Indian ocean, we recommend Leopard Beach Resort and Spa.
