Have just returned from a five week stay at Morning Star Resort Diani Beach Kenya. For Ten years we have spent at least three weeks iin a large hotel on Diani Beach This is the first time we have changed accommodation and I must say it was a great place to stay,Joachim the boss was always on hand and very helpful and ALL the staff were really friendly and always on hand to help with any requests. This Resort is central to all, local supermarkets, the private hospital only 100 yards away and Barclays Bank(and cash points) It is five minutes to the glorious beach and a very cheap Matatu(Minibus) ride to the nearest town(UKUNDA) Morning Star has a great Pool which is kept spotless ample sunbeds(with Towels)a lovely friendly restaurant with good choice of food. The resort is totally secure and there is a safe in every room, which incidentally we found really quite redundant as we trusted the staff completely.Rooms also have fridge with freezer compartment and fully equipt kitchen area. Airconditioning in bedrooms and ceiling fans in lounge area, a huge ballcony with chairs and table and SUNBED.. In all this is a superbly run and equipt Resort and we shall be staying there hopefuuly on our return to Kenya in June.I thoroughjly reccommend it for those wanting greater freedom than one gets in a hotel but with all the facilities available and to finish with THE DRINKS ARE REASONABLY PRICED AS IS THE FOOD. Congratulations Joachim and all your staff!!!
