“We will be back for Easter”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2012

The holiday was fantastic for the family and found the staff very helpful. The self catering system was very ideal for us because of the child. However, we enjoyed eating at African Pot Restaurant also. We will be back in April for the Easter holidays.

This time we decided to try something different. We did not want to be timed in the 4-5 star hotels nor did we wish to be on the ever BUFFET foods at the beach.
We went to Coral Beach. Requested a cook and he was locally arranged. There is a daily cleaning person included in the price. It is affordable. Cottages were clean! We missed the one just at the Beach but cottage Nr. 18 for the 4 of us was just perfect!!!!!

GOOD user friendly kitchen with fridge and all the utensils. The small homily pool and the mixed clientele!!! We had the local people from Nairobi who came to play golf at leisure lodge, some swiss families, one half a year client, many repeater and also somelike us! We discovered if there are no cottages, there are rooms close to the road.

The spot is vry convenient just opposite Imperial bank, Leonardo restaurant and Agniello’s and of course African Pot in the compound. With the Nakumatt now close to Barclays bank with bothe AT machines and Mpesa facilities… holidays are just FUN!

Thank you to the team and the workers.

Heidi

Very easy and friendly place to stay. Cottage was HUGE - the size of a house with outdoor living area set in lovely gardens with partial views of the sea. The swimming pool is well maintained, right next to the beach and they provide towels and protection from the beach boys. The reef itself here is okay - not brilliant. You really need to go to the national park where it is excellent. Self catering was great because it meant we could take advantage of the lovely fruit stalls and restaurants around. The cottages are really well screened against mosquitoes. Staff were helpful and friendly. Excellent.

My friend and I stayed here for a week at the end of our trip to Africa. At first we were in an apartment where they sweetly added an extra bed. There was no hot water which was promised so they offered to move us to a cottage. The next day we waited for 4 hours while they helped us move to a cottage that didn't have any gas, a mosquito net or kitchen equipment (there was no hot water). We moved the next day when the cleaner could smell gas from the outside to another cottage, no hot water but at least no threat of a gas explosion! essentially, very poor management, but the rest of the staff were helpful and appologetic. the cottages were clean and the pool was lovely. convieniently locatedand on a reletively quiet bit of beach. wouldnt stay there again but it was adequate. The restaurant "African Pot" was delightful, serving excellent food.

Room Tip: Check room thoroughly before moving in

the site is well located, on a quiet stretch of beach but near to amenties and shops. The cottages look fantastic, even idyllic and the grounds are well kept and neat. I stayed in an apartment however, which is at the very back of the site, facing the main road, this is not how they are described on the website! the apartment is very basic but the worst drawback is the poor view, onto a dry unkept yard, and the noise of the cars from the main road at night. The swimming pool is very nice, but they do seem to allow visitors from the bible camp next door, and kids of the staff etc to use it too. it should be for residents only. other than that the service was very good, and the staff were very helpful and polite.
