Stopped to look at some lace in this small village and were draw to this attractive taverna. Sat down to just have something cool to drink but were offered 'Tastings' of what was offered on the lunch menu for the day and what we tasted was really good. We had an unusual cut of pork which consisted of both the Belly & Rib folded together and roasted in the oven and served with roasted potatoes along with what was described as Porkballs in soup. Minced pork seasoned with herbs and severed in a thin onion sauce, both absolutely delicious and just one portion would have been enough for both of us. This was followed by the usual complimentary fresh fruit and water melon and of course Raki. Really good traditional food served in a lovely setting in this little village on the Lassithi Plateau.
