Stayed for 2 weeks in September 2006. Arrived late evening. Had to carry our own cases up two flights of stairs. Breakfast very bland. Room very basic. Bathroom awful! Sliding shower screens bent and bowed - couldn't open and close them. Hand-held shower head. Whenever you touched hot water either in basin or shower electricity tripped out!! Reported this. No one came to investigate until the day before we went home - even then it was not repaired before we left. Half way through second week toilet stopped flushing - had to lifted cistern lid!! Really this is all true!!! We stayed in room 320 so avoid at all costs. Reception pleasant and clean. Pool lovely but lots of broken sun beds. Pool bar stayed open until 2.30 a.m. one morning - not very good when you have arranged a trip starting at 6.30 a.m. Also not very good being woken by the pool man's dog barking first thing in the morning - it being tied up near the pool all day.

Overall resort been spoilt. Far too commercial, more like Blackpool than traditional Greece

We stayed in the Sunrise Hotel in July 2006 as we wanted some peace and quiet. This was a great place to stay for that.

The hotel was situated outside the main area with a 5-10minute walk to the bars and restaurants. The Tsvili resort was more built up than we expected but the Sunrise Hotel is away from the main strip so you didn't hear any noise.

However, I found the hotel a bit too far to walk to the beach each day and the beach was rather small and busy too. But the hotel pool area was great and we stayed there each day without any problems.

We used the air con and fridge which we paid for on the last day which was a last minute shock as it was 6 euros a day for the air con and 7 euros for the fridge (for the week). The saftey deposit box was another 10 euros too so beware! - our own faults for not asking the cost first though.

Also, the bar played music from 11am and as all rooms faced the pool, this was quite annoying if you wanted a lay in.

Overall though, we had a great time and on seeing other hotels in the resort, this was by far the best there.

We stayed in this hotel during the first week in May 2006 and apart fom the first week of the season problems by the end of the week everything was fine.
The pool is a real feature of the hotel although the water was very cold but will warm up as the season progresses(I hope) as we are going back in August.
The staff are very helpful and friendly nothing is too much trouble for them and Anna the receptionist is a gem.
Tsivili itself is a typical small resort with some good tavernas restautants and bars and some not so good but its all a matter of what you fancy, still well worth a visit so enjoy as we did.
