“Beautiful, clean and super nice staff.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2012

A lovely well-situated hotel in the center of Tsilivi, a short distance to the beach.
Pretty, clean and large rooms, which are made very clean every day and put new towels.
It's delicious.
Good pool, perhaps too little room for sunbeds.
Staff: Sweet, sweeter, sweetest. Christina in serving, unknown at breakfast, service man and all the others.
Thanks for 14 wonderful days.

Room Tip: We think it is great on the ground floor.

Just returned from a 2 week stay at the Contessina Hotel, stayed in room 611 and could not have been given a nicer room. The hotel itself is in a great position on the edge of town and about 200 yards to the beach. All the staff were friendly and helpful and at check-in we were met with a nice glass of orange. My only complaints are the breakfast which we found poor at times, (go next door to the sunset bar and you can buy a lovely breakfast there) and the cost of safe, aircon, and fridge. Great hotel and staff would recommend a stay here.

We have just spent one week at the Contessina, the Hotel is exceptionally clean and spacious and bedrooms spotless too. My only disappointments were on arrival to find there were extras to pay[aircon 7euro,fridge3 euro and safe deposit 3 euro] per day per room so as we had two rooms
this would have worked out quite expensive. Also while the staff in general were quite friendly, the ladies on reception were quite surly and unhelpful. On enquiring as to where the pharmacy was "she didn't know" only the helpful rep.from Thomson advised us where it was[30 mins walk away].The Sunset bar next door is worth a visit and do a nice breakfast and owners will genuinely be grateful of your custom.

Me an my boyfriend an my friend an her boyfriend came here for 10 nights all
Of us being in the age range of 23-26. And can honestly say one of nicest hotels
I've been to an suprisingley for my age, i've been to quite a few places!! Hotel cleaniness was amazing every morning i would get up an see the cleaners jet washin each individual bit of pavin out the front of the hotel. Rooms were kept spotless and i mean spotless. Breakfast i notice people are sayin are basic an repetative..seriously get a grip, how many breakfasts do you think exist?! Ther was beans an a different type of egg all fresh fruit cereal toast sausage, bacon etc...

Staff were out of this world friendly made you feel like you were only person in the hotel!! Bar staff sophie & takis...amazin so genuinly nice. Mary receptionist soooo helpful an also a lovely women!

The hotel is sooo close to the main strip lets call it, but not too close that you can hear everything! Unless you are in the far buildin from reception of which you can hear the strip slightly but come on you can't have a good location an NOT hear a little noise?! go left out of the hotel an few steps your on main strip, go right few steps and your on the beach! Oh one thing yes like other people have said get up early an claim a bed!!! Only if its busy mind!

I would honestly recommend this hotel. It has been a fantastic holiday an the hotel
More than contributed to makin it so
Memorable....

Fyi...molly malones & captain spiros a MUST!!!!

We have just spent 2 weeks at Hotel Contessina, Tsilivi. Lived up to all the excellent reviews we read when we booked. The hotel was very modern, very clean and the staff were all lovely and very friendly. The pool is really nice and we didn't struggle to get sun loungers. The rooms are nice with good bathrooms...with proper shower cubicles. The hotel is in a good position, just a very short walk to the beach and close to all the bars and restaurants. We ate at a different restaurant every night and never had a bad meal. The hotel staff were very entertaining as well as friendly and helpful (particularly the bar staff!) Would highly recommend this hotel.

We travelled to Zante with a 2 year old and were planning on staying in the Balcony, however we heard that there was no swimming pool and it was very high on the cliff so decided to stay closer to tsivilli centre. The Contessina had good staff, immaculate clean rooms with plenty of room for a cot and a view of the pool. The breakfast was okay.

The location is about 200 metres from the beach and right at the end of the stretch where all the bars and restaurants are.

We did the trip to the blue caves and shipwreck which was good, and then managed to laze around the beach all week, although the sunbeds are 6 euros per day!

You can most definitely guarantee the weather in zante, and it's less than 3 hours from England, with plenty of choice in restaurants/tavernas and plenty of bars, its a good place to go.

Just spent a week here, booked after reading other reviews. Wasn't disappointed. Perfectly positioned in the resort. Modern and extremely clean. Travelled to lots of Greek islands and it was what we expected, if not slightly more than we were hoping for. Wish we hadn't bothered paying for the fridge as it was very small and didn't really get used. No problem getting a table at breakfast as tables re set quickly if busy. Nice private pool and plenty of sunbeds. No problems with noise at night. Bar prices bit more expensive than some of the local bars but hey ho we weren't on holiday to penny pinch. Beach is clean and sea very shallow for a long way out so ideal for kids. Sun beds n brolleys 5/6 euros for day, people offering c.d's and massages were abit annoying but a firm "no" soon got rid ! We tried a different restaurant every night and never had a bad meal ( put on 7lbs ! ) can recommend Calypso, wine n roses, boomerang and dionossis. You can spot the good one's as they're usually busy. We thought prices really cheap, starter, main and wine for two normally came in at 26 euro's. We got the local bus to Zante town for 1.60 euro, only took 15 mins and bus had air con. All in all a fabulous place to stay !
