“Great location but travel lodge type hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013

Stayed here end July and nearly walked out after 14 hour delay on flight. Things looked a bit better after some sleep but it is basic and you get what you pay for. If you want a top hotel try the Lesante which is opposite, same great location, 10 mins walk or horse ride to main resort and 5 mins to lovely beach. Best value resturant - Majestic, best food - Premier. Only booked through Cosmos because we were using Tesco vouchers and other reviews say it all - not very good, don't bother with their "full day" drip to the water park because by the time you've picked everyone else on the island up it's a half day - 4 hours in the park. Sadly the reps are not really interested in their customers or their views. Would definitely visit Tsilivi again but probably not here or with Cosmos. Certain staff were absolutely excellent and certain staff were not. Word of warning though, look after your valuables, especially cash and especially on your last night (spend it all!!), you have been warned.

My partner and i have just returned from staying at this hotel and I'm sorry and very angry to have to say we had $200 Euro's stolen from our room. I am even more angry to report the manner in which both the staff at the hotel, and the useless Cosmos representative handled the situation.
My Partner and i always check our money to see how much we have spent the night before and how much we have left in the morning. On the penultimate day of our holiday we left the hotel for a day on the beach, when we returned in the evening we showered and went into our bags to get money out for the evening, only to find EXACTLY 200 euros had been taken. I went straight to the staff at the hotel and initially they were lovely, and very apologetic, and promised me that they were attempting to come to a resolution and have the money returned to us. They asked me to wait before going to the police and give them the opportunity till morning so they could try and help. they seemed very genuine, and i honestly thought they were going to help me. The next morning however, they simply told me it was not their responsibility, and that i now did not have time to file a report with the police. They then further informed me that it would cost around 30 euros to get to the police station and that we would also have to pay for an interpretor and it wouldn't be worth it as i still wouldn't get the money back. This STINKS of a scam to me, they took exactly 200 euros knowing fine well it would cost me around the same to try and file a police report about it, and even going through travel insurance after excess would still leave us in a deficit. My girlfriend and i were in a wedding party over there and another couple staying at the Zante Maris Hotel also had exactly 200 euros stolen from there room. this can not be a coincidence?? as i say this stinks of a wider scam to me and nobody is ever willing to help you. I write this review to both vent my anger and to warn other people to be aware of this in future. it put a dampener on a beautiful resort and and appears to be out of character compared to the rest of the wonderful staff and bars in the resort. very disappointing!!!!!

many thanks to all we had a great time, our 2nd or 3rd visit. and a great place to stay thank u yanni & asterious, and the lovely owners, for being so welcome once again, yes I agree with a few of reviews it may need a facelift ,but you get what you pay for and its worth a visit. all the negatives come from cosmos reps, not doing their jobs. so do go with Olympic with lauren the rep, she is brilliant.

Booked through Cosmos and got a good deal with transfers included. Hotel was a basic Greek hotel but clean and well looked after. The pool was well cared for and the pool bar and food were great. All the staff were very friendly and any issue was dealt with immediately, a light bulb blew in the bathroom and the staff came in, changed the bulb and made sure there was no broken glass. Cleaners were in every day and towels and sheets changed regularly. The hotel is about 10 minutes from the main town and 5 minutes from the beach so was lovely and quiet in the evening but close enough to get to everything easily. Some brilliant restuarants, recommend Sweet Revenge, best cheesecake ever eaten and the one on the main road with the terrance (Can't remember what it was called) Food was great and service wonderful. Sambuka bar does really good cocktails. Cosmos rep wasn't very good, not really interested in telling us anything about the resort or island so this was disappointing but everything else was great, would certainly go back to this hotel again

Tacky and worn out rooms, owners most unhelpful, lack of verbal information and a Cosmos rep on space dust. There was no information in the room regarding extra cost facilities, trips out, local attractions, beaches, shops, in fact nothing at all. The rep must have been having a bad week as she just didn't seem interested although this may have been because we were in budget accommodation, despite this we had a great week but no thanks to Cosmos, the rep or the hotel owners

Room Tip: Pick something else

We were very wary of this hotel ...but god knows why what a wonderful value for money place ..thr rooms were cleaned every day .towels and bed changed every single day ..greece is still very old fashioned but that is part of the attraction..the owners live eat and drink there .the pool is spotless and ideal ...its very close to tsilivi centre but not so close it disturbs at all ..restaurants are easy walkin distance u should try a diffrent one every night we really enjoyed and never had a bad meal....we will definitely return with some of our friends and family at some time ..

Just come back from these apartments they were described as self catering but that was not possible even for the two of us , not enough cutlery or plates and cooking utensils don't even go there. Kettle was 15 euros per week , fan another 15 and air con 60. The catering did not bother us too much as we always eat out but for a family of three trying to cater in here would be a nightmare. There was not enough storage space for clothes and the bathroom was a bit of a joke no shower curtain and nowhere to hang shower head. Owners and staff very nice everywhere nice and clean. Pool very nice with sunbeds and small bar serving snacks. 5 minute walk to beach with shallow sea and nice sand kids will enjoy it, many beach bars on front so you can always get a drink or meal.10 minutes walk to town where there are many shops and restaurants , we tried a different one every night all were good and owners not too pushy at trying to get you to eat there. All in all had a lovely week there .
