“"We loved the hotel & staff......we will be back"”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2011

We stayed at the Lesante Hotel & spa for 2 weeks, it was a Holiday/Honeymoon as we got married in the second week at The Balcony Hotel which is close by.Firstly the Staff are extremly friendly and helpful, we were upgraded as we mentioned we were getting married whilst staying there & we were more than happy with our room, very modern & an amazingly comfortable bed! Myself and my Mother & Bridesmaid received first class service from Chrysa on the afternoon of our wedding day. Myself and my Husband received a lovely suprise when returning from our wedding day, our bed in our room had been decorated beautifully with petals & towels shaped like swans, we had a complementry bottle of champagne & water with a note of Congratulations form the Mangement & staff, this was a lovely touch.
The food was Excellent, you really couldn't ask for anymore selection, the drinks as has been mentioned before are slightly more expensive than other restarants in the town.
My husband arranged for a hair cut the day before the wedding at the health & beatuy centre below and we would not reccomend this, very expensive for what it is too.
Indoor pool was lovely and the 2 outdoor pools were amazing one of which had massage jets which we made lots of use of.
We will definately return in the next few years to celeabrate a Wedding Anniversay!

On arrival our bags were taken from the bus and we were greeted with a glass of champagne. We arrived on the week of our wedding and our room was upgraded on arrival.A bottle of chilled champagne was waiting in our room. On the day of our wedding the staff would not let us leave without a glass of champagne. On our arrival back from the ceremony we were greeted with another bottle of champagne in our room and a petal covered bed. A beautiful complimentary breakfast was delivered the next morning.

We really were spoilt by the staff during our stay and they could not do enough for us. Caroline and Nick at the pool bar are fantastic and very hard workers. The hotel was extremely clean, lovely choices at breakfast and very relaxing.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Lesante Hotel from 29th July - 8th August. As our flight was at 11.45pm we arrived at the hotel early in the morning at 6am. Although ealry the porter and the receptionist were eagerly awaiting and extremely helpful. Even though it was still dark we were instantly impressed by the hotel, and the images previously viewed on websites and in brochures reflected the hotel exceptionally well. It is not often that the pool actually looks bigger than in the brochures or as clean or inviting.

The hotel's cleanliness is outstanding, from the buffet area, to the pool, to the rooms. Everything is maintained to a very high standard, with staff constantly washing, cleaning and generally keeping the hotel looking stunning.

Meals were buffet style, with plenty of choice and options for all. Breakfast was brilliant - the choice was endless, with cereals and dried fruits, yoghurt or different types of Greek cakes. There was always a cooked breakfast option, pancakes or croissants, cold ham and cheeses. Dinner was again good, with themed nights, our particular favourite being the Italian and Greek nights. I do agree with some comments on here that the food was not as hot as one would like, and on occasions, you had to wait awhile for certain popular dishes as they were cooked on a grill in the restaurant.

This hotel was exceptionally well located, only 100m from the beach and situated at the less touristy end of the beach with more locals present. We used the beach everyday as we found more of a breeze by the coast in the heat. 2 Sunbeds and 1 parasol were 6 euros a day- seemed to be flat rate. We stayed by the Baracudda bar as they had a better toilet, shower and music on offer. What is draining is the massage ladies and the street sellers constantly interrupting your sunbathing- at least 20 times a day! I was polite at 1st but then resorted to completely ignoring them. Seemed a better tactic. For a trip out for a half a day i would recommend Levante Speed boats run by captain Spiros. He has been doing these cruises for the last 22 yrs and knows everything you need to know- you visit the shipwreck, the blue caves and get to visit a quaint fishing village. He also liked the ladies and allowed each of the girls to take a turn driving the boat with his help. Needless to say all the boys were very envious.

Final point we went with Thomas Cook, and at the time of booking we were not made aware, or if so we must have missed the fine print that because we flew out Thursday just before midnight that the 1st of our 10 night stay was counted as being Thursday, even though we didn't arrive until 6am Friday. Therefore our last night which we thought would be the Sunday flying home monday at 8.10am, would actually be Saturday night. Thomas Cook therefore expected us to check out at 12noon on Sunday and then stay I don;t know where over night (i presume in the hotel lobby) until our pick up ay 5.45am! Appalling, apparently there is a hoteliers agreement about this and is standard in Zante. Anyway we opted to pay for an extra night rather than sleeping in the lobby.

Overall though a fabulous holiday and we would definitely consider returning.

Just returned from this lovely hotel. We went 5 star as it was my daughters wedding ,was well worth it .You pay extra for it but the little touches make the difference.Never seen anywhere they mow the lawn then wipe the path with a mop as well as sweeping it.They also upgraded my daughter to a suite and decorated the room.
Found the food lovely even though it was a challange to get a boiled egg that wasnt too soft or too hard .Tsilivi a little too touristy for me but had some great meals at the King Prawn and the Balcony hotel, which was were we had the wedding.Veiws too die for.

We arrived at the lesante a week before our wedding and were Greeted as soon as we stepped off the coach. After being escorted to reception our bags were taken to our room as we checked in and enjoyed a glass of champagne. Contrary to what some have said
we found every single member of the staff remarkably freindly and very very helpful. After a week of our stay we woke to find a note under our door from Chrysa asking us to go to reception. After breakfast, which I might add was as good if not better than I've had in any hotel prior to this,I went to reception where Chrysa informed us
that she would like to upgrade us to a larger room for our second week and first as "Mr and Mrs Daniels"! We were both extemely grateful as was our 1 yr old son
Freddie who could now have his own room to sleep in and a big room to play in! We cannot thank the leasante and chrysa enough for this as it was completely off their own backs they did so. It meant on the day of our wedding my wife to be and her bridesmaids had plenty of space to get ready in complete peace. When myself my father and photographer(Adam!!) were ready to go to the wedding venue we went to reception where chrysa called us a taxi and poured us all a nerve settler! Much needed! She then came round with a pair of scissors and began chopping away peices of loose cotton from our suits and shirts! Very funny to us but she wouldn't allow us to leave looking scruffy! She even rebuffed my eyebrows! Now that's service. We were sent on our way to the wedding with a smile on our faces.

All in all this is by far the best hotel We have stayed in in Europe and it's going to take some beating. Cleanliness, comfort, quality and service all 5* without a question.

Thanks to all the staff for such a relaxing stay and making our wedding so special. We will never forget the lesante and are certain to return.

Tom Becky and Freddie x

We were very disappointed by the fact that we paid for a junior suite and we received in best case an executive room. At check-in not a word was said from your staff that we will not receive the room that we paid for. We discovered this when showed to our room. We have called reception and asked what is happening and the reception head told us this is an upgrade, that all the clients that stay in junior suite want to be moved to a room like ours, that the pool view of the room is much nicer etc. After 4 days, I have checked your website and found out that the room in which we are staying is about 200 euro cheaper (for 7 days) than the one we have already paid for. I went back to the reception and after an argument with the lady (reception head) she said ok, you can move to a junior suite (5 min before she said there are no junior suites available). After visiting the junior suite, I have decided to stay in the room 730 as we did not want to spend 1-2 hours packing/ unpacking/ moving in the middle of our holiday (we traveled with an infant and we had a lot of luggage) and indeed apart for the separate living room, there was not much a difference. A sparkling wine glass was sent to our room for consolation; however a bitter taste still remains for the fact that we could receive the room that we paid for only after having an argument with the reception head, 3 days after check-in.

Because of the reception I rated Service as poor and because we could have got the same "upgrade" by paying 200 euro less, I rated Value as terrible.

The rest of the hotel staff is great, especially at the pool bar, main restaurant and cleaning staff.

Kids activities I rated Poor as except for the kids pool, there are no facilities at all for young guest. We were traveling with an infant (1 year and 2 months old) and there was no playground, baby-sitting or other services for him.

One more thing - the "do not disturb" electronic sign is completely ignored by the staff. The baby was sleeping, the "do not disturb" sign was ON and hotel staff would knock on the door to ask if we need something for the minibar or if we need our room to be cleaned...

Just back from a wonderful stay at the Lesante. From arrival we were well looked after. The restaurant staff are excellent, from the restaurant manager, Xavier, to the waiting staff service is excellent. Every night Xavier would chat, asking us about our opinion on the food and if we were enjoying ourselves. The food is lovely with a great selection.
The staff at the pool bar were excellent too. Our waitress after dinner, Caroline, never let us down. The bar staff at the pool bar couldn't do enough. The staff who we rarely saw did a great job from the cleaners to the head chef everything went smoothly.
There were a couple of hiccups, from the 24 hour laundry service that tool over 36 hours, to the receptionist who couldn't print my receipt for us as our pick up was waiting. Perhaps that's just me being too picky.
Thanks to all the staff who made our stay delightful. So much so that we hardly left the hotel during our stay
