“You may end up in another hotel!!!!! beware of the receptionist!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013

We arrived at 21.00 after 12 hrs trip. The receptionist told us that one of his clients decided to prolong his stay and there was no room for us!!! we were told that we would have to stay in Aqua Land (NOT the holiday we had booked or even the type of holiday we wanted). Initially we were told that this would be for the whole of our 10 days. My husband was clearly unhappy so the story quickly changed and he told us that actually a resident was behaving badly and the police were being called to evict them! So there was a chance that we could get a room there the next day.... In the meantime the receptionist told us that the seaside in front of the hotel was bad and full of seaweed (which is actually true) and that we would have a better time elsewhere - his words to me were 'think positively'!!!!
As we were quite tired we reluctantly agreed to go to the other hotel. As soon as we walked in we knew for sure that this was not the holiday for us and was a hotel directed at children and water games with a school-type canteen etc. The accommodation was worse than we were lead to believe we had paid for and was not 4*. My husband got quite angry and called the reception again demanding another hotel and miraculously a room became vacant at the Rosa Bella and we came back.
On the good side, the restaurant and bar staff were great as were the cleaning staff who changes towels etc every day. The view from the balcony over the bay was fantastic but the seaside is shambolic, full of rubbish. left over building materials, heaps of seaweed and a bulldozer and two trucks trying to clear the seaweed away amongst the sunbathers!!!

We spent a long weekend at Hotel Rosa Bella and really enjoyed it. It was the beginning of the season so few things did not go according to plan (no hot water for few hours and quite disorganized) but staff did their very best to solve the problems and help us with every issue. The local beach is not spectacular but the hotel has a great view of the bay. Few nearby restaurants offer some typical and very tasty Greek food, we ate there almost every day, very friendly owners

We have just returned from a weeks stay on all inclusive.
Good Points - large clean pool, with sun loungers and parasols available,
Very clean spacious rooms, cleaned daily with fresh towels and linen. We had a suite which consisted of two separate rooms and two bathrooms. Unfortunately the bathrooms let the room down as they do need to be sorted - broken shower fittings, bath sides and toilet covers.
Lovely balcony and good location, if you want complete rest with nothing to do but look at the sea view over the bay .

Bad Points - the food was terrible as it was served cold every day, and kept running out whilst the dining room was full for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff in the restaurant are rude and unhelpful, they only appeared to concentrate on the guests who were paying, not those on the All inclusive option, hence slow to serve drinks and only took one drink order for the meal It is a shame as the dining room is clean and the food is of an acceptable standard ( being typical of an all inclusive/half board buffet ) but was not being kept heated so was always cold and running out. It was also not labelled as to what it was which is helpful when you are a family with children. The guys who appears to be the Restaurant manager just looks grumpy and treats guests as if they are an inconvenience ! We ended either paying for pool side pizzas or going to either of the two excellent tavernas nearby, down on the beach where the service was excellent and the food lovely and good value! Both owners were so welcoming and friendly.
Pool side snacks consisted of left over pastries from breakfast - if you wanted anything else you had to pay.
Sunbeds were plentiful but were being reserved very early in the morning, though the Pool Manager did appear to get some more out for certain people, I would say Ask if there are not enough out!
The young lady hotel receptionist during the day was also extremely rude and does only appear to answer 'No ' to everything.
The beach was horrible and we would not use it in a million years - we were told it was being cleared of the huge mounds of seaweed that seem to have been lying there for months, but we never saw it happen. In addition there is a lot of debris which seems to be dumped at the side of the beach.
Beware- there is nothing to do in Ermones, we were a little bored at times as we didn't hire a car or use the local bus so can't comment on that, this would have been something we would have talked about with the Hotel Receptionist but she was so rude that we didn't bother. In summary, this could be a lovely hotel but was let down by rude, unhelpful, inefficient staff in the dining room, and on Reception. This is certainly not a 4 star hotel . I would say 2 star at most. We got a week of fairly good weather, (the evenings are very cold so bring a jacket) for a relatively good price but the restaurant lets this place down badly.
I would like to mention the excellent young lady serving in the pool bar in the evenings, she was most impressive as she was efficient and polite and so kind. We could not fault her, the other sullen staff could learn a lot from her - whoever is in charge should give her a pay rise or a bonus - she is the best thing about this place!

3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2013

I have just returned from a family holiday at the Rosa Bella, the best bit of the stay were the rooms with lovely views, which are spacious with two balconies, with fresh linen daily except Sundays. The electrical sockets and taps are a bit dodgy, so be careful!, and you may have hot water if you are lucky. The staff (two ladies) at the pool bar was very efficent, and courteous. Unfortunately this was not the case in the main restaurant, which was a bit like fawlty towers, where very poor organization, led to some heated complaints from the other guests. The food was very bland, and served almost cold, there was never enough food for the quantity of guests, and every day there was a new development with something not working. The restaurant manager spent most of his time on the mobile phone, or scowling at staff or customers, and was very surly if asked to help. One night due to a storm we ended up eating the few remaining scaps of food left in the restaurant on sofas in the lobby, because of his outstandingly bad management!

The receptionist was of the same school as the restaurant manager, where the answer was always no, to what ever question was being asked. Although we were all inclusive ,do not expect to have any food on arrival if after nine at night, or any lunch on day of departure although you may find this a blessing.

The bus service between Ermones and Corfu is very good, and good value, and the cafe at the bus terminal offers tasty snacks at affordable prices. My children say the milshakes there are superb!

There are some stunning views, if you wander some of the footpaths, and I recommend a visit to the fort at Corfu town which is magnificent.

Room Tip: The higher up the appartments would have more sunny balconies and less noise from generator A/C unit...

5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2012

Me, my husband and my 18 months old son, had the pleasure to enjoy our summer vacations at Rosa Bella Corfu Suites Hotel & Spa, during the first 10 days of August 2012. Our stay at Rosa Bella was marvelous and we enjoyed every minute of it. We had a Superior Suite on the second level of the hotel. The room was very clean and maintained.
The hotel is ideally located on the west coast of Corfu Island, about 15 minutes drive from the city of Corfu. This proved to be extremely advantageous, since the hotel is close enough to the city so that you can enjoy its nightlife and its restaurants every night and simultaneously it is far enough so that you will be able to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of Ermones coast. During the night it is so relaxing that you can sleep hearing the sound of the sea (no matter in which level your room is situated). The hotel is only 5 minutes drive from Glifada beach (which is one of the most famous of the island with fine sand and crystal clear waters). All the suites have a magnificent sea view to the Adriatic and Ermones beach. They are very spacious, well equipped and with big balconies. Our son thoroughly enjoyed the small pool which was filled with toys for children and we all enjoyed the big pool.
One of the things that made a very good impression to us was the staff of the hotel. Everybody was very nice and polite and they all made us feel as guests and not as clients. They were eager to help us and provide us whatever we needed for our little boy (our room even had a baby cot). Last but not least I need to mention the extremely good cuisine and breakfast that we enjoyed on the hotel restaurant. The chef made many delicious dishes based on the local and international cuisine and he was always making recommendations to us on the wine we should chose or on the specialties of the day.
Having traveled in many places in Europe and in Asia and having visited many more Greek island hotels, we can thoroughly recommend Rosa Bella Corfu Suites Hotel & Spa. Whether you plan to go alone, or as couple, or as a family with children, this hotel will suit most of your needs. We are certainly planning to return there, any time soon.

Room Tip: very nice rooms with beautifull view

Arrived to a rather poor reception. Were shown our room and told nothing more about hotel amenities or where the restaurant or other facilities were.

The hotel is in poor general repair but that wasn't a huge issue, however the general cleanliness was very poor and our room was swarming with mosquitos when we arrived. Our first night we were bitten badly and had to spray the room ourselves, the room was covered with squashed mosquitoes on the walls from previous occupants. The bathroom needed a good clean too.

Despite paying for an all inclusive stay (this was an expensive holiday) water was not included. Even a welcome pack with a couple of bottles would have been appreciated. The surly staff were not very helpful, particularly at the pool bar. The food was mediocre, metal catering trays with slightly varying food from meal to meal. We ended up spending most of our time in the Taverna down the road. We paid extra for an all inclusive deal but but to call it a Spa is rather misleading. The Gym consists of two running machines.

We spoke to the reception but they looked blank. Great location but a shame about the hotel.
