The hosts were warm and friendly and immediately made me feel right at home. The view from the decks were spectacular but the most amazing and unforgettable view was looking above into the night sky while sitting in the hot tub with a glass of champagne!!! I was a bit nervous about being away from a gym, BUT there were so many outdoor exercising activities to do! I absolutely loved kayaking around the lake! I would definitely come back again and try out the outdoor tent...it looks like a lot of fun. Remember to bring your appetite because the food is awesome!!!!

What a beautiful place to spend the weekend!

We travel lots but this time we were looking for something closer to home, in particular, a peaceful and relaxing lake front residence in which to spend the weekend... we definately found the right place.

The house has no road access so you require a ride on the pontoon boat to access the property, it is really quiet!

We drove up from Vancouver, taking the Sunshine Coast ferry and that in itself is a very relaxing way to start the weekend. It takes a couple of hours to get to the B&B but the roads are very good with lots of attractions along the way. We took our time and enjoyed the ride.

Arriving at the lakeside, our host Garrett arrived with the pontoon boat and took our luggage and selves across to the Lodge. It is advisable to bring a cell phone so that you can call them when you arrive. There is plenty of parking and we had no problems leaving the car. The pontoon ride takes about 10 minutes and is great fun.

The lodge itself is beautiful with well appointed, clean rooms, which open out onto your personal lakeside veranda. The veranda is very nice for sitting on , infact, I spent most of my time on it with a book/computer (they have wireless internet access), in between swimming and sunbathing.

The bottom two rooms are not overly big, so if you need a lot of space try and get the suite upstairs.

The breakfasts are fantastic and our hosts Liza and Garrett were very friendly and catered to our every whim. I think they are really enjoying what they do and it shows. Apparently, Garrett was a physiotherapist in has past life before deciding upon opening a B&B!

There are lots of other activities to involve yourself in if you want to leave the peace and seclusion of the Lodge. We played a round of golf at the nearby Pender Harbor Golf Club and Garrett and Liza had lots of other suggestions for things to do as well as places to eat. They took us out for an afternoon cruise on Sakinaw Lake on the pontoon boat, which was absolutely beautiful.

This lodge is a well established B&B under new, young and energetic management. We would definately return.

I hope this helps.

Very clean rooms with amazing waterfront views. Incredible gourmet breakfasts, great coffee, and superb hosts. Property is beautiful and really quiet as there is no road to it. My friends and I were picked up in a pontoon boat, and quickly ferried over to the cabin on the water. The rooms were big, and had first class linen and propane heat. Great hiking, and even went for a swim! Amazing place, could have stayed a week.

Boat access only- it worried us a little bit but once we realized what this really means is a tranquil couple nights without cars, phones, tv's. and other noisy items we could have cared less. Amazing breakfasts in a beautiful clean and modern room combined with activities like fishing, swimming, exploring via canoe, water skiing, hiking, or just reading on the deck.
