“Absolutely loved it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2012

We stayed here for 13 nights and it was the most relaxing break we have ever had. We had a spacious apartment with a lovely seaview (room 302) and it was fantastic, well worth the 139 stair climb! We spent a lot of time by the pool and mostly had it to ourselves as most people went to the beach.
The food in the restaurant was superb, we ate there 4 evenings and numerous lunchtimes. Fatih runs the restaurant in the evening and is an excellent maitre 'd. 10% discount for guests is an added bonus. There was no expectation that guests had to eat there but you will be missing out if you don't try the restaurant.
We asked for our air con to be available during the day and that wasn't a problem whatsoever.
The staff made these apartments special, Mehmet would resolve any query, he really is a gem. They all work long hours but are very cheery. We would recommend these apts 100%, we had a fab break.

We have been back now a week after spending the 2 most relaxing weeks ever at the Es Apartments.
Where do we start? The location was great, there were a few stairs to the apartments, but no great deal to be honest. You fell out of bed, and were basically at the beach. You would get loungers any time during the day. There are a number of great places to sit and have a drink whilst overlooking the bay, an amazing view. At the bottom of the stairs, there are plenty taxi boats to take you on tours, or to go to Icmeler of Marmaris.
The pool was small, but big enough for the kids to enjoy, and the adults to relax. We were at the pool most days, and was always quiet.
The food was lovely at the apartments, the Picanga for starters was to die for and great value too.
The staff were absolutely amazing, and never stopped working. Particular thanks to Mehmet, one of the nicest people you could ever meet. Fatih was always extremely helpful, and the housekeeping staff always kept the place and apartments spotless.
If you are looking for a great value holiday, superb location, family orientated, quiet resort, then this is the place to visit. We thought the old village in Icmeler was quiet, but this was perfect for us. We will be back. Thanks to all staff and fellow guests for making this such a delightful holiday.

Room Tip: We had apartment 201, this balcony overlooked the pool, and we had a further 2 balconies.

We stayed in the Es Apartments for a week in August. Arriving in the early hours of the morning, we were met by staff, and our bags taken straight to our apartment: Very efficient. Our apartment was on the second floor. Lovely view of the bay. Very large living/kitchen area with two sofa beds and a reasonably sized bedroom, with twin beds which also had a balcony. Only the bedroom was air conditioned. Our son had the bedroom, which meant that we were in the living room, which was very hot making it hard to sleep. (this was in a heatwave with temps in the 50's!) There is a small swimming pool. When we were there, we usually had it to ourselves, as most poeple liked to go to the beach.
The apartment was very clean, the maid visited every day with clean towels and sheets every other day. The restaurant is to be recommended. Staff all very helpful, nothing too much trouble. Yes, there are a lot of steps, but it's worth it for the view, and the bar/restaurant is halfway up, so a good excuse to pause for a drink! All in all, a fab stay. Would definitely visit again.

Just returned from a fortnight at the ES and absolutely loved the place. Our apartment was at the top and had 161 steps to reach it but it was worthwhile for the amazing bay views. The apartment was very clean and the maid service was really thorough with a mini clean every day and clean bedding and towels every 3 days. The service from the staff was really good. Mehmet was a mine of information and would do anything for you to make your stay more pleasant. Farthi was also very impressive in running the restaurant with help from the others, the whole team were friendly and approachable. We only ate there twice but found the fod and service to be the best in town by a long shot and no more expensive like some people state. You also get a 10% discount as a guest. I would highly recommend the Jack Daniels fillet steak, and the dep fried ice cream, divine! We also found the staff to be really friendly and we only ate their twice - so I totally disagree with the review 1 before this, think they had an axe to grind!

We did a Gulet trip on the boat Marianara which was amazing and very relaxing and great value for 30lira each. Not the cheapest bit there were only 8 of us on the boat so it made for a relaxing day. We only used the pool once as found the local beaches - Turunc, Amos and Kumbuluk to offer everything we needed, and I am not a beach person! Would highly recommend these apartments as long as you don't mind the steps!

Pros:
Clean and spacious apartment with livingroom/kitchen, bedroom and bathroom.
Three (!) balconies with amazing view of the whole bay.
Free AC
Small pool if you couldn't be bothered going to the beach.
Helpful and friendly staff.

Cons:
Narrow and hard beds.
Apartments/rooms are on a hill so you have to walk up quite a few steep steps to get to apartement - this is not a place for people with physical disabilities.
The kitchen part worked but the stove could have been newer.
The shower was a bit worn (but clean)
No wifi in apartment.

Misc:
We stayed 4 nights in room 6.
After having stayed 2 nights in Marmaris we fled to Turunc were we walked around asking for rooms and prices in several hotels. Compared with other hotels/apartments that we looked at for the same price it was a bargain at 90 turkish lira per night.

we traveled to turkey at the beginning of june 2012. Once you land in turkey you are transfered onto a coach.. on this you travel an hour and a half and on the arrival in marmaris you are they transfered to a much smaller minibus, (this is much easier to do when traveling during the day as on a night it is very tiring!) the road from icmeler to turunc is very curvey going up very high and then negociating cliff downwards (which can be alittle nerve racking during 1am!). once you arrive at the hotel the boss trys to show everyone to their rooms at once.....

this is a very basic apartment block (a few of which are apartments, the rest are basic rooms with a kitchen at the site and a bathroom) which is let down even further by the staff.... if you decide to eat out in the gourgious little bay then you will be frowned upon by the staff at es apartments who thrive on their resturant but not much else (they dont seem to realise they are running an apartment block also!)

Bare in mind there is approx 57 stairs until you reach the resturant, then there is more to the first set of rooms and then more again to the small pool then even more to the next block of rooms! ( one family which arrived at the same time as us had 105 stairs to climb to reach their room). The stairs are okay once you get used to them for the first couple of days... into the second week with 40+ heat and that many stairs it gets alittle annoying having to climb that many stairs to reach your apartment....

the apartments are very basic, a pan and a few glass plates. the shower is rusty to say the least! also the air-con stated in our brochure was for use as and when needed and also was free... the boss switches the air con units off between 10am-6pm, which for us was not helpful as we would usually get ready for the night between 4-6pm where air-con would come in very handy! we spoke to the rep which informed the boss of es apartment of the situation.... the aircon was then switched on 24-7!
It appeared due to the air-con being needed a couple of hours before that the staff could no longer bare to talk to us!

besides from es aparentments i would strongly suggest you vist turunc as it is a lovely little beach resort... a complete hidden treasure! the locals outside the hotel are also lovely and welcoming and are happy to help with anything possible!

Room Tip: if you ask for an apartment make sure you say it to the boss upon arrival otherwise he will give you...
