I stayed here for two nights while in Sukhumi, and was not really impressed. I ran out of toilet paper (but fortunately had a personal supply, having been in CIS countries previously) and shower gel, which was never noticed since my room wasn't cleaned. There were ants everywhere, and despite claims to the contrary there are no Black Sea views available. Breakfast on the first day was thick bread and Nescafé with some figs, although the second day I got much more. And while I spoke to the owner on the first day, it wasn't until check-out that I was told there was loads of tourism information at the hotel and I had to return to visit some "must-see" sites. At 2,200 rubles a night, there has to be something better out there. Locals I spoke to told me I was paying too much, but I knew that even before I mentioned the hotel.
