Staff were attentive, food was delicious and the hotel itself was beautiful. Didn't feel like London at all. Actually it didn't feel like England. Every thing was slick and polished. Great cocktails too. Highly recommend.

Booked well in advance as attending nearby function - three days before checked prices on internet, these had dropped dramatically, by haggling cancelled original room and booked a suite at just over £200 less - result!
However - arriving early left our luggage at reception and went out, returned at 5.30pm expecting luggage had been put in room - it hadn't arrived and neither had the surprise bottle of champagne that my husband had ordered for our anniversary so surprise ruined.
After some phone calls luggage and champagne arrived - eventually. As did some complimentary chocolates, 2 truffles, big deal!
Carpet in room didn't appear to have been hoovered and dirty tissues in bathroom bin.
Staff seemed vague about everything when asked a question.
Breakfast mediocre - certainly not living upto expectations.
Feedback questionaire- clicked on link - survey had expired - do they want feedback, perhaps they'll read this.

Room Tip: Haggle on the phone for a better room at a cheaper rate.

Waldorf Astoria offered me and my wife an amazing experience for such a reasonable price. The staff and area it is situated are very much alike in the ways they both offer a peaceful presence. The food and services the hotel has to offer are top of the range and the rooms available made me and my wife feel like royalty. Excited about my return.

If you look up 'awesome breakfast' in the dictionary, there's a big picture of Syon Park's breakfast table...

It's set in beautiful, tranquil grounds in West London, just a stone's throw from Kew Gardens, and although a bit plain from the outside, it opens up into a really smart, modern hotel. The staff were friendly and relaxed staff and the breakfast was incredible! Did I already mention that? Lovely!

Excellent service and quiet rooms helped make this a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The staff in the restaurant and bar were very attentive yet never felt like being overly intrusive - they catered for our late arrival for dinner and allowed us to eat restaurant foodin the bar (which had a bit more atmosphere). This flexibility and freindliness helped to make our stay relaxing and comfortable.
The rooms are lovely, we stayed in a suite with a balcony so enjoyed some champagne as the sunset over the lawn.
A great venue in a great location helped by excellent service make this an ideal London retreat.

We have stayed at the Waldorf Astoria in Syon Park four times as we have always enjoyed our stays here, however this last stay will be our last. Each time we go things are changing and the service is not what it used to be.

It was a special occasion so we were looking forward to a weekend away. The welcome we received from the front desk this time was so much better than the last time and we were upgraded as Diamond members to a lovely room, no complaints there.
Again still no bell hop when we arrived and no one at the door to welcome you

Bar staff - As always fantastic at making cocktails and always attentive.

Capability Restaurant - We had one evening meal here, food and service was again superb couldn't find any faults there.
However the breakfast experience was completely different. We were taken to our seats and every morning we were never given a menu, we asked every morning more than once and were given one to share! One morning we waited 15 minutes until a waiter came to take our order and offered us anything to drink. Every time we asked for something some of the waiters didn't seem to understand us and could not hardly speak any English. They were all wandering around with no idea what they were doing. When we went to the buffet to our surprise all the hot plates were empty. There were approximately 8 members of staff including the restaurant manager present and it took us bringing it to their attention for something to be done. This happened on 2 of the mornings we were there, our omelettes got cold and had to be made again. On one morning we were never offered toast and after we had finished our breakfast and were ready to leave the waiter brought us toast. Orders made were not being written down correctly it was a total shambles. Quite frankly this is not good enough for a 5* hotel. Having stayed in 5* Hilton hotels where the breakfast is superb service is supposed to be even better at a Waldorf. I asked to speak to the manager who was all smiles but never took our comments on board as every day we were there it was the same, so was pretty disappointing.

Spa - Had a treatment was ok definitely not worth £96.00. The relaxation room was nice however after the last treatment on a previous stay fresh fruit was available and herbal teas were offered. These have now been taken out and replaced with raisins and walnuts. No drink was offered just water in a dirty glass, not impressed.

Pool/Changing Rooms - Ladies changing area, toilets were blocked and in both sinks the water had risen to the top had report this to spa desk. No robes or slippers in any of the lockers and it is supposed to be a spa! Had to get changed and return again to the front desk. A few mins later I was given a robe. I explained to the lady there were none in any lockers. They were not filled even after my treatment. Pool area was busy when we were there however there were towels everywhere it looked a little untidy. No drinking water available in jug as there has been usually so we had to go into the gym to get bottles of water. Again very disappointing.

Room - Although we had a suite and it was very comfortable it wasn't really cleaned to a high standard the carpet wasn't vacuumed properly and when I moved a chair to view the TV there were food remnants and rubbish underneath. Toilet rolls in main bathroom were not replenished had to use one from small toilet. Called housekeeping no one answered during our entire stay.

Upon checking out there was no asking whether our stay was good or not. That should be common practice. We could not be bothered to speak to the manager as we left, after a pretty poor stay for a special occasion we were ready to leave

The hotel manager needs to be addressing these issues some of these were mentioned in a previous review and also by other reviews but there are no improvements, in fact things are slowly getting worse.

What a great hotel in a superb location, and for London a reasonable price too! The hotel is quite new and th rooms are first class. The staff are friendly and check in was a dream. This hotel is only seven miles from the city and yet you are in the country. Restaurant prices are on a par for London too. I would stay again no problem.
