“Oh You Cant Afford To Miss This One !!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013

Have a family, kids, parents or be alone or be with friends.......tag along all of them and get them to this fantastic eye opener of our Great Scholars, Traditions, People, Lives and Village life of India....Life like statues with amazing themes and statues of Scholars of India with valuable information put on display in this fantastic place. Just a few kilometers away from Kolhapur City. Two things which I quite didnt like -
1) Entry Fee is Rs 200 per person...(at first seemed exhorbitant )
2) No Photographs allowed....Fair rnough to protect the copyrights of the statues, but at least the information about every scene could have been provided in a pamphlet or a mini booklet...

Anyway....since the visual treat and knowledge was fantastic....No Complaints...

Dont Miss it !!!!

“A must see place to understand our heritage”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2013 via mobile

This is a place where ancestral life in the villages is preserved. We can see the pleasures of a rustic life - the cowherds & shepherds playing in the meadows, various craftsmen at work, typical village homes, fairs, panchayats etc. If this is the life for the past couple of centuries, there are also depictions of our glorious ancestors from the Vedic & later ages - Patanjali, Panini, Aryabhata, stories from the Ramayana, Mahabharata, Panchatantra etc. The attention to detail in each depiction is amazing. All in all, you should not miss visiting this place if you are in Kolhapur.

“Siddhagiri Museum, Kolhapur (better than madame tussauds)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

A visit to Siddhagiri museum (near Kolhapur) will take to back to the good old era of Indian civilisation. The museum sets tone with its life like sculptures. The museum showcases our age old tradition which prevailed a few hundred years ago. A must visit place for all. Try going during the winters.
