“Hotel is ok...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2013

Its an average hotel without much ventilation and also very crowed and in busy market with lot of noise , you dont feel like you are in a sacred place like Udupi . The room is So So and i feel little expensive . The restaurant is also no ventilation and the food is very ordinary and the whole location is too bustling, and not too cordial Staff ...So i recommend my friends to look at the alternative ..

Room Tip: not that great to stay..

I recently lunched at the non-vegetarian restaurant at Kediyoor hotel, and was very happy with the food! The prices are very reasonable, the taste was excellent, and the service was very good too! Highly recommended as a lunch/dinner option if in Udupi and looking for good food!

i stayed at the Kediyoor hotel at Udupi for a night on the 24th of september. i went for darshan at the Krishna temple, at the mutt there.
the hotel is quite near to the temple. it is a big hotel, with 2 restaurants.
the rooms are spacious, and the toilets are suprisingly very clean. that was a highlight :)

the food at the vegetarian restaurant was very tasty and the filter coffee, excellent.

if you ask for a pick up from the mangalore airport ask for mr bhaskar, he is a very nice person.

the temple is situated in the city square, with all the 3 main temples on adjacent sides of each other.
you should 1st do darshan of Ananteshwara, the Chandramouleeshwara and finally the sweetest, cutest, prettiest, Shri Krishna, whom you see through a small square window.
its so cute!

the temple is very unique, very peaceful and beautiful.

so, overall its a hotel i would reccomend.

Room Tip: choose a room on the higheuction was on in the ground floor, as when i was staying some construction...

We stayed here in October 2010 as part of big group. The location sis the best part and thats where it ends....... the place is right next to the Udupi bus stand and is not too far away from the main temple and the highway to Mangalore. The rooms are fine as far as cleanliness is considered, but the service is a let down, considering that they are not exactly a cheap hotel!

- Room boys need some basic training. They just walk into your room for a multitude of reasons or sometimes for no reason at all!
- Corridors..are poorly lit (no lights!!!) and dark , depressing. The room boys were always hanging out there and would peep into your room when ever the door opened. The women with our group felt very unsafe and we were also worried about our valuables as we were part of a wedding party.
- the manager at the front desk was quiet rude, because he knew that there were not much convenient options near the bus stop. Along with the manager, the housekeeping staff, the room boys and everyone else in the hotel need to learn how to be polite and courteous to guests!

Not staying here again on my next visit to Udupi....unless I am very sure that there has been a drastic change with their level of service!

This hotel is located in the heart of the city, only walking distance from the private bus stand and public stand. It has two good restaurants below it, a veg as well as a non veg one. I had booked the rooms online and check in was effortless. We had checked into a family non AC room. The room quality was average and the toilet was clean. Hot water was available in the mornings. The room service was also good and food was tasty. The staff were friendly and very courteous.

Only by night we noticed that the blankets were itchy, to our horror found that they were infested with bedbugs. They had made a decent meal out of us by morning.

Room Tip: Hopefully the bed bugs were only in our room....please check before checking in.
