“DEEEEEEEEEEEELicious!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

We loved everything about Osteria della Lodola. The food was exquisite, Carlos the chef is amazing. The service is impeccable, thanks to Manuela and Christina. They recommend wine to go with your food, everything is local. And they listen, talk to you about what you might want to eat that evening....you really are family at the Osteria della Lodola.

“Typical and must-go-to”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

This restaurant offers very typical Tuscan food, in an no-nonsense approach, very fresh and well presented and changing the menu every time again. All offered at unbeatable prices

“Ate there 4 times in 7 days”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012

Because the food was so good and the prices so low.Best Gnocci I have ever eaten, and I have eaten a lot! All pastas made by hand. Great raviolli stuffed with cheese, porcini mushrooms, and mint. All veggies were fresh from Mario's Organic garden. Chef Carlo has a magic touch and taught us how to make his excellent bread sticks. Place has a family feel because it is run by a family. Because it is small, it has less variety than found at bigger restaurants, especially for Secundi Piatti. But we ate there so often in big part because of the social experience: the family atmosphere encouraged cordial interactions with the other guests in the B&B.

“Outstanding!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012 via mobile

Outstanding!!! If you are looking for an amazing Tuscan meal in Tuscany...this is the place. The food is prepared perfectly from fresh ingredients in their garden. The service was just as great as the food they prepared. We are in town for 2 nights and will definitely be returning tomorrow.

“UNBELIEVABLE!! CANNOT RECOMMEND ENOUGH!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2012

My husband and I stayed in Villa Fontelunga (Villa Galletto) for a wk and were recommended to this restaurant by the owners.. well it was the best recommendation we ever had!! This restaurant is run by a husband and wife who live on the premises. All the food that Carlos cooks is organic and ingredients are sourced from his garden. The pasta is like air and the meat sauce fantastic, you have to try the dessert of chocolate fondue its the best we have ever tasted. The wine selection is fantastic and the house wine is unbelieveably cheap but really nice quality. On the Friday Carlos was hosting a cooking class in his beautiful kitchen and I was lucky enough to participate. We were thought how to make pasta, bread, pesto, dessert etc it was absolutely amazing I loved every minute of it. This is a proper Italian homely restaurant their gorgeous 11 month baby is happily heard around the restaurant and Miranda the dog is happy to greet everyone and give an appreciated wag of her tail to those who give her a stroke. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough it is a must if you are in the area and if you want to experience authentic, good quality and good value wine and food. Thank you all for such a fantastic experience.
