Despite rain on arrival the villa looked absolutely stunning and as the sun came out at 5pm and we were outside drinking Prosecco it got even better. We stayed at Scanagallo with 2 other couples so used the B&B more like a Villa, it could have been an odd set up but worked perfectly. Paul was the ideal host and made our stay incredibly relaxing and comfortable. Not a detail is missed in the decor through to the dining experience. The rooms are stylishly neutral and have everything you would wish for/might have forgotten from a hair dryer to cotton wool. Breakfast, a feast of freshly baked pastries and breads, fresh fruit, meats and cheeses, was served when and where you like, great for my husband who normally misses the hotel breakfast cut off of 10am! The villa is in a great location to explore around Tuscany as it’s less than an hour to Siena and only 30 minutes to Montepulciano, however the infinity pool at Scanagallo is amazing and such a great sun spot that you might just want to spend most of your days chilling there like we did!
