“An amazing villa for a large or small group”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

We booked the complete villa last year for family and friends at Santa Vittoria.
It was the most memorable holiday with Marta and Mauro our wonderful hosts. They could not have done enough for us in every way. Each villa was beautifully furnished with a Tuscan flavour. Each apartment is quite seperate with their own private elfresco dinning which enabled our group to come together most evenings or have time out if one felt like it. Marta kindly gave us the large dinning/kitchen room to accommodate our large group in the evenings.
We could not recommend it highly enough and look forward to oneday returning to Fattoria Santa Vittoria.

We have just returned from a truly wonderful stay at Santa Vittoria. We were blessed with wonderful hot weather - which made the pool a most welcome attraction every day. Marta and Mauro were most accommodating and assisted us with our many many questions. The accomodation was ideal for our needs - Marta supplied a camp cot for our baby who slept in our room with us. The rooms were cool and quiet - remember to keep windows closed during the day and open at night - no need for air conditioning if you do this. At no point were we ever too warm in our room, and it was 37 degrees outside.

There was ample parking available, a laundry where you are able to wash clothes, and a well stocked supermarket is only a 7 minute drive away in the nearest town (Fioana). The kitchen in the double apartments are well stocked with everything that you need.

There is lots to do in the area - shops, food shopping, wine tasting etc. We were always busy, but it was equally nice to just sit and relax by the pool or eat dinner under the shade of the trees. We also had a 4 course dinner prepared and served for us one night - all ingredients are sourced from the farm or the nearby surrounds, and we ate way too much - it was a delicious meal, served with their own wine - which is also yummy.

Recently we booked all the apartments for our family reunion. We had a fabulous week and everyone was enchanted with the place. We signed up for a cooking lesson run by our hosts Marta and Mauro. It was great fun and at the end of the day we sat outside and enjoyed the meal with some of the wines produced from their winery. On another evening they cooked a meal for everyone and again supplied lovely wines. Our hosts were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The countryside is beautiful and we loved the vistas from the apartments and swimming pool.

Room Tip: All the apartments are excellent. If you book the 5 apartment you might also get the farm house kitc...

This agriturismo is on the grounds of a winery in the Valdichiana region of eastern Tuscany. The accommodations (in our case a one-bedroom apartment) were charming, nicely decorated, roomy and quite comfortable. I really cannot say enough about how welcoming the owners, Marta and Mauro, were. We felt at home from the first moment we were there. Their college-age staff were also quite helpful. This place was a wonderful break from the city, and also a good central location from which to explore Tuscany and western Umbria.

With advance notice, Mauro can prepare a special dinner. I highly recommend this, besides his wine-making talents, he is an excellent chef. Wine tastings can, of course, also be arranged.

The only negative thing I can say is that they require a wire transfer deposit when making reservations. I can certainly understand the reason for this, but unfortunately American banks have hefty fees for these transfers. Nonetheless, it was well worth it and I would absolutely stay here again.
