“stunning view, great location, great hosts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2010

I was travelling with my mother and a young baby.
Our host was most helpful in things to see and do, especially with a little one in tow, and was very helpful with recommending tour operators.

the chalets were cute but modern and very comfortable. the scenery and views were to die for and the whole location was so peaceful.

I highly recommend any traveller stay in this beautiful area and in these great chalets.
I will definitely be heading back there.

If you are going to Abel Tasman National Park, this is a great place to stay. The chalets were very clean and the host was very friendly and helpful. In the middle of winter the room was nice and toasty.

Being less than 20 minutes away from the water taxis, this is the place to stay when exploring Tasman.

My sister and I stayed here for two nights during a little Nelson/Marlborough holiday. Friends joined us for one night and rented the adjoining chalet. What a brilliant spot. The views were beautiful and we enjoyed our happy hours on the deck soaking it all up. The units themselves were clean and comfortable and had everything you needed for a short stay. Due to the extremely reasonable price this is great value for money and will be definitely recommending it to people as the place to stay if they are exploring the Nelson/Golden Bay region

These chalets/cottages are well maintained and fitted out. They look reasonably new. I stayed with my mother on a tour of the south island, but would love to come back and stay here with my partner next time. The cottages are set high on the hill of a small farm, surrounded by trees, well kept gardens, and a plethora of bird life. It was a magical setting. Very tranquil and quiet. It would be incredibly romantic with the right person... The sofa bed is practical, but not comfortable. However the main bed was very comfortable. There is air conditioning, a large plasma screen and a fantastic deck with outdoor setting to soak up the view. The owners were very hospitable, friendly and willing to help in any way. I briefly needed use of the internet, and the lady allowed me to use her computer, free of charge! There possibly would have been a charge if I used it for longer, but it was generous nonetheless. The Motueka area is beautiful, be sure to visit the Abel Tasman national park (Kayaking is amazing). Also a drive over to Farewell Spit is well worth it - Be certain to stop at the Mussel Inn at Onekaka (I love that place!)and also Rosy Glow chocolates at Collingwood. A visit to Kaiteriteri at sunset is also not to be missed.

Our chalets are the maximum size allowable by local authority (36 square metres) and are very roomy provided the double sofa bed is folded up when not in use as an extra bed. We have identified the need for good internet access and now have a computer in the office area exclusively for the use of guests plus wifi for laptops and both are FREE for unlimited usage 24/7.

Travelled through NZ for one and a half month and this was the best place I have stayed in. The chalets where new and clean. A nice view of the surroundings which you can enjoy from the veranda. This is one of those places of which you know the next place will be disappointing. Very soft towels by the way.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in October and it was one of the nicest and certainly best value places we stayed on our trip around New Zealand. It was so peaceful with great views, we felt like we had really escaped from it all. The chalet was the perfect size for the 2 of us, had a big TV and a kitchenette for making small meals. One evening we made use of the gas barbecue and sat outside to enjoy the view out over the hills. Our chalet had a nice comfy bed and a great shower, which was just what we needed after a few activity packed days in the Abel Tasman Park. We were a short side trip off the main road between Motueka and the National Park - about a 5 minute drive to the town and a 15 minute drive to the Kaiteriteri tour operator base. We would have loved to have stayed here longer and would have no hesitation recommending it to others.

Great hosts, great room with all the features a traveller requires, plus the rooms have peaceful views over the surrounding countryside. Don't bother to look elsewhere.
