My Wife was on a course in the local area for a day so we booked into Colours in advance. Greeted by the Hostess Sue with a friendly smile and the best cup of tea so far in 2013! The Host Paul building towers with Jenga blocks keeping my little boy highly amused as I unwound after a slightly hectic day. A very quiet time of year to stay but after checking in we decided we could easily move in permanently if given the chance! The Brown room was immaculate and modernised without losing the classic guesthouse feel. Room for our travel cot and a very comfortable extra bed for our little boy too. Downstairs lounge area and dining area is just lovely and would be perfect for singles, couples or familys.
The breakfast was absolutely delicious and one of the best full english breakfasts I've had. The nice part is just relaxing with a cuppa and warm conversation with Sue and Paul.
For a warmer time of year, the location is prime, especially for the beach and park amenities. Not too far from town center but far enough away to avoid noisy roads and pubs.
Value is spot on. You get such an incredible amount for the cost. We'll definitely be back again, but saying that, book soon because people are booking way early, so book early to avoid disappointment.
The Brown room was ours for the night and was delightful.
