The house has undergone a total refurbishment to the highest standard decorated with excellent taste that will suit everyone. En-suite perfect everything you need is there. The breakfast room is next to be redecorated next and that will complete a fantastic top rate Guest House a credit to the owners Gill and John .Gill had advice on the area and was like a friend you had known for years ! The breakfast had everything you could wish for and catered for and vegetarians too ! The cooked breakfast cooked to perfection too ! We will definitely stay there when we are next in the area and will reccomend this guest house to everyone ! Perfect setting five minutes from beautiful sandy beach ,train station ,buses shops restruants . We only stayed for one night bringing our son back to Uni we would definitely want to stay longer and. Explore the area and this will be our choice to stay every time. A massive thank you to Gill and John for your excellent hospitality !

This place is hosted by two charming and very hard-working people who did their utmost to make the stay a pleasure. The rooms are decorated to a superb standard with great en-suite facilities and equipped with excellent range of toileteries. The whole place is being totally upgraded, and it looks like the breakfast area will be completed soon.

The breakfast was tip-top, especially the eggs, which are from a local supplier - you really could instantly taste the difference in quality. Overall, everything was done with an exceptional amount of thought and attention to detail, a great choice when visiting the area.

Room Tip: Until the hot water boiler is moved, avoid the back room over the kitchen if a light sleeper.

Stayed for 6 nights recently and really enjoyed it. Conveniently situated in a quiet street within walking distance of Redcar train and bus station, shops, and beach. The room was tastefully decorated and spotless. Amazing breakfast quickly served by the very friendly and helpful owner, Gill.

Room Tip: I would recommend taking the ensuite bathroom.

My partner and myself have just stayed here for 2 nights (Sept 2012) whilst settling our daughter in at Teesside Uni. We were made to feel very welcome by the owners, Gill and John. Our room was spotless and suited our needs perfectly as we were only on a short break. I thought that special attention had been taken to the decor and all the little touches in the room. On arrival we noticed that they had won an award this year for excellent breakfasts and the award was certainly well earned. There was a lovely variety of things to choose from and the cooked breakfast was excellent. We ventured to O'Gradys pub and enjoyed a lovely meal in their restaurant which was also excellent value for money and we would recommend a trip here if in the area.
Gill and John were very attentative and couldnt have been better hosts, we will definately be returning to the Armada .

We stayed for 3nights from the 24th August and we were greeted by Gill who was as great as all her previous reviews had stated. She showed us to our rooms which were superb, newly refurbished and lovely and clean with white fluffy towels. We had an absolute blast at O'Grady's Pub around the corner, enjoying their live band (a different one every night) and we enjoyed ourselves so much we are planning to arrange another stay at Armarda Guest House in the not too distant future as Gill and her team were warm and welcoming and extremely attentive advising the best places to visit and . We will be back soon!
