Our first visit back to the Olive Tree since the management change. Saturday night in March and the restaurant is reassuringly busy. The Winter menu has a 3-course option at 17.95€ complete with half a bottle of the local vino.
Choosing the fillet steak option for a crafty 10€ supplement, together with starter of Indian fish cakes and dessert of white chocolate and baileys cheesecake, it is still good value.
The steak is cooked exactly as ordered and the whole three courses are nicely presented and very tasty. Others in the party sampled the particularly nice goats cheese starter and main courses of risotto and chicken, all of which is of the same high standard.
With Options and La Luna disappearing from the scene it looks like the Olive Tree are set for a good year. We'll be back.
