We stayed at the Hotel Diana in March 2013 and were thrilled by the hotel, and the restaurant which is on the ground floor - and now feel compelled to tell the world about this gem. Everything about this superb place is faultless - from the welcome, to the exquisite food and the lack of formality. But I have to talk about the cuisine - it is quite simply incredible. What looks like a simple dish of gnocchi with some tomato and mushroom ends up being the best pasta dish I have ever tasted. Perfectly served, it turns out to be pumpkin, tiny gnocchi in a sublime sauce. The salmon main course surpassed my expectations, even after realising the quality of the starter - it was sublime with the tiniest tastiest calamari.....we were given expert advice on all courses and the wine list and drank a local Aosta red which was perfect for all our dishes. We were then brought a complimentary glass of Fiori Zambucca which was light and exquisite. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble - even a stool for my handbag!. This restaurant and the chef need to be recognised - it is world class food. You will not be disappointed. It is such an easy place to visit from the motorway enroute to Calais or driving south, or staying for the skiing.
