“Great stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

This is a well appointed and maintained Premier Inn, the room standards are very good and very clean. Everything you would want for a touring base. Breakfast was fair value, this is the first time that I had breakfast in the Premier Inn itself, quality was very good but the cost felt a little steep.

Parking was good and plentiful, the Harvester next door is your average Harvester - nothing to write home about, we ate once in there and it was average. Harvester also do breakfast.

There is a By-pass to the front of the hotel so aim for a room at the back on the first floor.

We checked in at 2pm on the hottest day of the year so far. It was a really nice surprise that the reception staff had put out paper cups and iced water for guests. There was a vending machine selling cold drinks in the area as well. Check in was painless and the lady carried my bag to the room as I am n crutches. Small things make a huge difference and this was a kind gesture. The room was as you would expect from Premier Inn in that it was very clean and comfortable. Both my wife and I had a very good nights sleep and were not disturbed by any noise or doors banging etc. Would stay here again.

Room Tip: All rooms are shower only.

Very comfortable two nights stay. Visited family and toured around the area. The weather was glorious so that made a big difference to our stay.Staff were first class. Meals at the Harvester were very good and staff there were very polite and helpful.

A second visit to this Premier Inn and it was like visiting an old friend; well that indeed was the reason for a stay but the Inn itself was so welcoming and comfortable and considerate of a more mature single traveller.
Rooms are clean and the hairdryer got a blast too this time, once I'd located it! Lots of good lighting for make up etc and plentiful tea and coffee. Had a great night's sleep with a choice of many pillows etc. And very good value too!

Room Tip: Rooms on one side faced a busy road - fine with window closed but could hear traffic with windown o...

Stayed here for one night only in June 2013. Great reception, really friendly reception desk.

The rooms could not be faulted. Very clean. The room was very quiet and had a good nights sleep.

Would stay here again in in the area.

The only problem was a picture of Lenny Henry staring at you from the dressing table......soon sorted that, turned him around to face the wall!!!

This is a budget chain, although the rooms are basic they are clean and comfortable.
I dislike the push button cleaners soaps shampoos etc. I also missed the supply of face washers.
I stayed three nights, tea bags and coffee wasn't replaced, although supplied when asked.
No laundry service, Although an ironing board and iron is available on request. I stayed on a holiday long weekend so staff turnover was frequent they tried to be helpful although they lacked travel knowledge and expertise. Breakfast was fantastic, no lunch or dinner service, although there is a restaurant chain next door, very busy its best to book before you go, again limited menu. This would be a good hotel for an overnight stay, if touring. Unfortunately I was stuck on a business trip.

Room Tip: overnighters only, just remember no lifts, stairs only

Stayed here for a family event nearby - really nice, clean rooms and great friendly staff. Everything you need and always more tea bags at reception!!

Would also recommend Harvester restaurant next door, reasonable prices and excellent food. Must have a good reputation as it was full on a week day evening.
